Overyas wheezed a bit before flying off while Countdown blocked all but one of the final spears before he shrunk to his original non-magic self. "I only took out one hundred of his lives. I failed to kill him. I failed... any other deaths are my fault. And I can't even get the final one..."

Lunara wasn't faring much better. She had recovered, but her shield was too weak to block the final spear. She collapsed as the spear rammed itself to the hilt in her chest. She gritted her teeth in agony. The soldiers dispersed, leaving Lunara to bleed to death.

In a few minutes, she had already bled out fatally much. SHe only had 40 seconds left

Christoph grabbed her and struggled to carry her away using his health potion on her. He smiled sadly at her, "The best I did was buy you twenty minutes. Twenty minutes to see your sister. Now if only someone could help us get there."

Lunara used a large fraction of her diminishing strength and teleported then there. She was bleeding badly now. She had less than a minute left” where......is.......she.” Each word and breath was labored and pained.

Emmy frowned a bit leading Ruby to Lunara. With that she turned and left the room politely.

Lunara smiled despite her predicament, "Hey."

Ruby's eyes watered, "Hey...I just want to say thank you for saving all of us and teaching me...how to fly." Tears fell, and Lunara reached and brushed them away, "Have.....you seen.......my sister?" It hurt to talk, but Stephanie just wanted to see her just once.


Kelly came in, and screamed at the condition her sister was in. She rushed and gave her a hug.

"I've come...... to say.....goodbye." Lunara said softly and sadly

Lunara hugged her back weakly, and then her hand slipped away, as did her life.

And then, right then and there....the near-legendary Legacian General Stephanie Lunara Shadowsinger Radiant..was dead.
