Max closed his menu and shyly looked at Deirdre. "Um. It's a nice
night. Even when we went for an unexpected swim." He said softly,
and joked at the last part.
"I know it's not my fault. Though, I don't like seeing you
hurt...it worries me, but then again, I should be used to it." Max
said softly and gently placed his hand on Deirdre's shoulder.
"After all, my dad gets hurt on a weekly basis." He joked softly.
Max nodded and smiled at Deirdre. He gently removed his hand from
Deirdre's shoulder and leaned back in the chair. "Alright." He said
with a small smile. "Um. Thanks for going out with me." He said
quietly.
Max blinked and looked at Deirdre. "I don't know. I was just
nervous, I mean." He trained off nervously and put some cheese on
his spaghetti. "We sort of had an argument that lasted years when
we were kids. I guess I was just afraid that you'd say no." He
shrugged quietly and took a bite. "Stupid insecurities I guess." He
sighed.
[she's attracted to guys, she just doesn't know yet.] [okie
doke.]
Max nodded in response to Deirdre. "Alright." He said gently and
took another bite of his food. "I know you. You're right. I just
hated myself for years because what I said." He shrugged. "It's not
important though. Sorry."
