Mira blushed. "I doubt that. I've met Johto's assistants and they're all incredible at their jobs," She shook her head. "I never even went to a real school."

"That's a good point I guess," Mira chuckled meekly. "I think that they're smarter than me, though. Probably all went to school on that new college island."

(I actually thought of that the other day. What if Aether created an island similar to the paradise that was dedicated to colleges and schools for would-be scientists?)

Tiger shook his head. "They might've went to that college, but most of what I learnt was from Kit, and Elm. My idea of 'school' was a few days at Earl's Pokemon Academy and they don't usually teach math and reading." He said with a sigh. "So I guess we're both in the same boat, but what I'm saying is that you're brilliant, Mir. Honestly I think you're way smarter than some of the assistants in Elm's lab. Hell one of the lab assistants tried to see if they could get a pikachu to destroy something that was in the pond in the fields by asking a Pikachu to use thunderbolt. I literally had to pull the Pokemon back before he electrocuted the poliwag in the pond." He sighed.

Mira blushed deeply and chuckled at the story. "Sounds like that idiot was just lacking common sense," She rolled her eyes. "...Thanks, Tiger. It means a lot to hear you say that. Not just because you're Elm's apprentice... But because it's not often that I hear it."

Tiger nodded and smiled faintly before rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment, he was blushing slightly, and for once was glad the group wasn't together to laugh at his behavior. "Err. Yeah you're welcome. I know it's not often you hear that, but it's the Arceus' honest truth to me." He said gently. "I mean what other trainer can learn to sail and become Oak's assistant in a short amount of time?" He said kindly, and sighed. "And yeah that guy was definitely lacking common sense.

Tiger blushed a bit more deeply and tried to hide it by moving his hat to slightly cover his face. "T-thanks Mir." He said gently and headed for route 30. "Though I did have possibly the best person to teach me to sail, and who knows maybe we can sail when we get to Cianwood or Olivine. After all we need to cross the ocean from Olivine to Cianwood." He said quietly.

Tiger smiled slightly in response to Mira and nodded. "Yeah, I used to have Saf surf me across." He said gently. "I'm sure you'll love this trip." He said gently and went into some tall grass.
