A creature called Crane appeared there and grabbed Drake:

"If you want to see him alive give me that stone!"

Gero and the Androids appeared and 19 pointed to Crane:

"And if you don't want your head to roll off you should free him, Crane!"

Crane ran away in fear, leaving Drake there.
That's why I said 'Hey, man, nice shot!'
