“No problem-o!” Amber shot Hex a grin and a thumbs up. “I’m sooo excited! I’m finally able to start my journey, and a got a cool partner and I met a bunch of cool people! Aren’t you excited? Hey, do you want to come with me? We can go to the next town together!”

“What? No way.” Amber paused, attempting to look hurt, though she failed and simply ended up making several faces while trying to look annoyed. Giving up, she let out a snort and reached over to grab Hex’s hand, skipping out of the lab with a bright grin. “Okay! Les get started!”

Nova rolled her eyes and crouched down, allowing Roxy to hop onto her back if the Rockruff wished to.

After creating a mess, the two pokemon ran outside again before the Scatterbug finally gave up and abandoned Lucius's camera although it didn't want to. By the time Yuumei got the camera back, she was already tired and laid on the cold ground that made her shiver. "S-Shinx..." she muttered, hoping Lucius would come back to get her.

Amber pushed the door closed and stepped down, shaking her head. “Sorry, I’m just excited,” She grinned sheepishly, releasing Hex’s hand. “Because I’m finally old enough to go out on my own! Mum said I could go home whenever, but I’m gonna show her that I’m mature! And then— Oh?” She paused and hesitated, spotting the Shinx. “.. Wasn’t there a boy with a Shinx leaving?” She frowned, debating on doing over to it. “Is it okay?”

Nova snorted and reply and trotted after the trainers.

"Younger. His name's Levi; a year younger than me. He hates it here. Says he'd rather go back to Hoenn with my dad," Erika shook her head. "He doesn't want to be a trainer. Which I would respect if he said that he respected me for being one."

Yuumei whimpered in the cold until she felt someone's eyes on her. She thought about looking back to see who it was but didn't have the energy or motivation to. Instead, she only moved closer to the camera.

The eyes belonged to a dark-skinned man, a Lilipip awake on his shoulder and looking curiously at Yuumei. Henry bent down to glance at the Shinx, picking it up. “Poor guy.”

“That sucks.” Marla frowned. “If that’s what he wants, that’s his problem, but he shouldn’t harass you for being a trainer.”

Yuumei opened her eyes as she felt warm hands grab onto her. "Shinx?" she opened her eyes to look into the hazel eyes staring right at her.

Lucius finally caught up and arrived near the lab to see a boy holding onto Yuumei and his camera on the ground. Out of breath, he panted a bit before glaring at the other boy. "What are you doing with Yuu- I mean, my Shinx?" he tried to sound intimidating but it failed because of his irregular breathing.

Amber and Nova exchanged a look. Five minutes together and they were completely in sync (Amber knew she made a good choice when she picked her starter). The blonde tipped her head to the side and trotted after Hex, gaze still locked on the Shinx. “It looks cold.”

Henry glanced around to make sure there wasn’t anyone else this girl could possibly be talking to. “Me? No. I found the poor thing shivering in the snow.” He explained with a frown as he picked the camera up too. Henry smiled at Yuumei before noticing Lucious “Oh? Are you it’s trauner?”

Neko looked over to Hex and Lucius, she decided against saying anything. Instead deciding on petting her Pokemon and looking around town once more. What kind of trainer just leaves their Pokemon in the snow? She thought dully.

Erika shrugged. "He's set in his ways. Always has been after he spent a few years with grandma. She fed him all of this biased information. But that's his problem. I'm fine with who I'm choosing to be. He'll learn in time that this world depends on trainers like us. And even if he doesn't... It's no skin off my nose. What he wants to be will benefit the world, too."

"But how about you?" She looked over at Marla curiously. "Why does your brother give you grief."
