"Sold," Auctioneer called with a glare at Ricky for hitting on his wife.


The woman sighed. "Cat is next."


"Y..Yep! If you w..want to." Roxanne answered.

Angel huffed a bit at the girl before taking the handkerchief. "What shall I call you Mistress." She snarled out.

Magnolia raised an eyebrow as Angel took the handkerchief and sighed, seeming to relax a bit now.
''Magnolia Toxica, but my friends call me Maggie, you can choose between my full name or nickname'' she said, then handed the handler the money she owed and told them that she forgot to give her payment to the auctioneer herself, since she was in a hurry.

''i-i can call you Roxy then, if... that's alright'' he said, smiling a little now.

(I'm sorry I'm so late!! I forgot to check before I went to sleep. My apologies.)

Val was late. He was always late, honestly, he didn't know why he was surprised at this point. Two thousand years and he still never managed to leave with enough time to get where he was going before the action started. He quietly made his way toward the front to get a good look at who was up for auction. It was a girl. No one else seemed to be taking an interest, and she seemed nice enough. "Two hundred thousand," he said, his voice loud enough to be heard but still soft and fuzzy at the edges.

Zigzag had picked the place furthest from the other slaves to stand. He felt kind of awkward - tall, skinny, and out of place - but he just tapped his fingers against his leg to get rid of some of that nervous feeling. It didn't really work, yet the illusion of it working was actually quite helpful. He was certain no one would want him. He was just no use as a slave, too thin and breakable and clumsy and mean. Even if he did manage to find a master, they wouldn't keep him for long.

Dusk wagged his tail a little and smiled a genuine smile, happy that someone like Roxanne bid on him instead of someone meaner.
''you know, you saved me from a more terrible fate if no one did bid on me.... and for that Roxy, i'll be forever thankful.... so i will be a loyal companion and protect you like any faithful guard dog should'' he said.

''so.... what is your name? i told you mine, so i'm curious what yours is'' Magnolia said, her pupils becoming circles again as she looked down at Angel.

"Hello," Val said in his usual soft voice, coming up to Cat. He smiled at her a little, even though something inside him ached at the thought of owning a halfbreed. "I'm Val. And you are?"

Zigzag started at his own name. He felt like collapsing in on himself, but he shuffled forward anyway, stuffing his hands in his pockets and put on his most unenthusiastic expression.

Rebeka listened in to the bids. Fifty thousand. Two hundred thousand. Five hundred thousand. "Three million." He voice, smooth yet quiet rang above the rest as she smiled down at Zigzag, her electric blue eyes brightening slightly before dulling again. He was hers for a long, long time.


"Sold to the seer." The auctioneer called out.


"Chloe." The woman called out the next person.

Zigzag glanced up at Rebeka and then looked away. He didn't like that stare. Maybe he was paranoid, but his hands brushed against his neck, the tiny gemstone clinking ever so softly against the silver it was hanging from, and he shuddered. He was owned. He didn't like it. What would his proud, pureblood mother say?

Val's face went pale, and his blue-gray eyes looked hurt. "Why would I call you a mutt? You're not a soulless animal, you're a person."
