Personality:
Kind and helpful, Platinum is a guy who speaks before thinking, even if he thinks a lot. He is known to panic at most situations where he has no clue what to do, but as soon as he knows what to do, he can work it out. He also is a person who rushes into battle without thinking.

Personality: Lax / Analytical thinker / Intuitive / "Energy-reserving"-lazy / Duty-oriented
Having a mostly lax attitude, he is just as likely to take a nap as he is to do a job slowly. He's in no rush, and doesn't see why people insist on stressing themselves out with impatience and deadlines. It is because of this, that his consistent work is often overlooked, given that he appears fairly lazy. Nevertheless, he knows when serious business "is serious", and pulls his weight in a team.
Lacking ambition, he keeps his analytical mind focused on little things. Like how to win video games, or predicting how people will react, given a situation. The latter of which, he experiments in his pranks. He keeps his practical jokes on the lower scale of humility, given that he has few attachments to others, it'd be rude to make a near-stranger humiliated in public.
If nothing else, he is quick-witted, slow to action, but keeps to himself unless 'dragged along' to someone else's journey.

History: Born to middle class parents in Rustboro City, Hoenn. He'd been "encouraged" at age 11 to go on a Pokemon journey to "discover" what he'd want to later do in life, he went on to do so. While he's traveled all over Hoenn, he's never really accomplished much other than winning enough battles to pay for his stays at the local Pokecenters and things for his team. He says he enjoys battling when asked, but generally doesn't like the "competition" mind-set that most trainers seem readily equipped with.
The request to 'help Unova' struck his interest, and traveling to the region an adventure on its own. It'd expand his horizon, if nothing else, and that's worth getting an experience out of anyway.
