This suggestion is actually relatively simple.

When you go to the gem collector to trade your gems for a Pokemon, you have to scroll through every Pokemon, every time.

Since the gem exchange is generally used by shiny hunters, my suggestion is this:

Either -

A. Have the Gem Collector remember which Pokemon you traded for last
~or~
B. Have the option to "set" a Pokemon in the Gem Collector's trade list, perhaps above the full list? Then, either have the option to click there, or have a special box for the Gem -> Pokemon trade labeled "Set Pokemon" underneath?

This could also be useful for beginners or younger members in the following way:
Quote from HarknessSay someone has the Pokedex entry for a genderless Pokemon, and not the egg. They set the Pokemon they are looking for in the gem collector. Then, they can check back every so often to see the gems they need, without having to search or remember. This may be nice for some newbies or younger members, as they might forget the Pokemon they were building up to.

Thanks for reading, and if you have any suggestions to add I will either edit above, or add them to the spoiler box below.

You can also just type the name of the Pokemon you want into the White box to find it fast.

But I Support the idea of having the Gem Collector remember the last Pokemon you bought.

You can call me ten types of idiot for not even seeing that, but the option would still be nice I agree.

So DnD players can laugh at me:

Same with power, my browser remembers. Besides it can't be that hard to type in a Pokemon's name right? So no support.

Well, my browser doesnt let me type in the pokemons name

say i type in poliwag my current hunt

I type in P and the first P pokemon comes up then i type in O then the first O pokemon comes up etc etc.

So this would be very handy for me

But it's only seven letters? Even if the browser don't memorize it, it's still easy to type in if you ask me.

what do you mean?

no matter what i type in the first pokemon of that letter comes up so i cant ever type one pokemons name in.

Say volbeat.

V - Venusaur
O - Oddish
L - Lickitung
B - Bulbasaur
E - Ekans
A - Arbok
T - Tentacool

I always have to scroll through and find which pokemon im looking for. The search function is destroyed on my browser for some reason

What do you mean? When I type in a Pokemon's name I get it eventually. For example, type in Pum and I get Pumpkaboo. There's a search Pokemon option, another example scatterbug I type in Scat and I get it to appear. So you don't even have to type out the full name always. Even Volbeat I typed in Vol and the Pokemon appeared.

So I don't understand what you're browser is doing haha, just type out the name as one word and it will pop up. Be sure to capitalize the first letter, I found that out, and start typing out the name. But if it's just your browser then I don't think that's the best reason to implement this suggestion, try a new browser.

Thats what im saying. Everytime I try and type the whole name a new pokemon pops up with that letter that i put in. So those letters that I just wrote down was the sequence of pokemon that pop up in the search bar when i try and type volbeat in full.

I cant use other browsers because im not allowed to install them since i am using a "work" laptop at home because i use it for both business and personal whilst im away fromt the office

Hmm, I see what you're saying: it's a browser problem not a problem with the site. Well, that's unfortunate, what a weird browser haha. But still, I'll just say I don't support since I don't have that problem and not sure if it's a majority issue with people on site but that sucks, I've never heard of a browser not be able to do that. :c

Support!
i also have something like your problem Bourkey, but mine is that when i write the first letter, it search the first pokémon with that letter, then when i continue writing, it doesn't search anymore, look:

I first write the "I", and Remoraid show up, then i continue and the selector got empty.

Max here!

The thing with suggestions is that they are made to benefit a large number of people.

While it seems like someone wouldn't have that problem, it is also easy to see where my suggestion would be beneficial as a whole.

Say the gem collector remembers the last Pokemon you bought, or he knows what you are hunting....he has the Pokemon all ready, no search, no scrolling, no hassle. While it may be more beneficial to shiny hunters, it could also be beneficial to others.

Say someone has the Pokedex entry for a genderless Pokemon, and not the egg. They set the Pokemon they are looking for in the gem collector. Then, they can check back every so often to see the gems they need, without having to search or remember. This may be nice for some newbies or younger members, as they might forget the Pokemon they were building up to.

Just saying to the people having trouble searching at the gem Collector: Have you tried using a capital letter for the first letter? I noticed that it sometimes doesn't search right if you type "aipom" but it works well with "Aipom". Because when I type in "aipom" I get Remoraid as well, but with a capital A it works perfectly well.

Btw this is the same like in the Pokedex. The PH searches are really fussy sometimes.

Mirej, in my case capitalizing the first letter doesnt change anything.
