Quartz was trained to be able to prevent these situations, self-defense and all that but turns out that their Empoleon just doesn't seem to trigger Quartzes instincts. Before they could react, Abyss scooped them up in his arms and threw them over his shoulder like a bag of potatoes.
"Wha-Not this again, Ab!" Quartz didn't attempt to get away this time, accepting their defeat.
Abyss lowered his head in a bow directed at Charlie and Goodra before he marched away to an obviously random direction, with his only intention being to get Quartz away.
The abandoned cover of the Little Prince was now laying in the grass. Pages worn and faded out, old and apperantly well loved.
(Im also going off- Two hours in the morning. Yaiks.)
"Bingpot."
She gave in. Harlow opened the bag of sweet-flavoured Pokemon food, her hand dipping in and grabbing a small hand full of the pellets. She allowed her Pokemon to eat from her hand as she held the food out in front of her. The food had gone quicker than it had arrived.
Beside her, curled up and lightly snoring, was the puppy Pokemon. Already exhausted, at it wasn't even the end of the day. In all fairness, however, Rockruff was practically a baby compared to her other Pokemon so it was only understandable that the Pokemon grew tired quickly. Smiling, Harlow brought her hand down, gently petting Rockruff's head. Doing so was almost like a trigger for a flashback to when Harlow first received her.
'My grandparents visited for the first time in a while - they'd just came back from their vacation in Alola. They brought many souvenirs back with them. Knowing my love for fossils, they brought me back one that resembled a part of a jaw structure. After reviving it, it turned out to be a Pokemon, coincidentally used to be native to Kalos, called Tyrunt. They then gave me an egg that they had apparently been abandoned at a daycare there. I had never cared for an egg before. But, eventually, it hatched. She was different, and that made her worth all the trouble.'
Sighing, Harlow pulled her Poketch from her belt to pass the time, despite the slightly cracked screen, and weird noises it would make every time she touched something.
Kelsey walked back out of the Pokemon center with Torterra by her side. Stretching, she glanced up at the sky, seeing it covered with clouds.
"That's weird. It was sunny before."
"Rain Dance!" a male voice commanded, as rain fell from the sky. Hard. It began to pour.
A few people in red suits stepped out from behind buildings.
"I don't like the feeling of this." Charlie said quietly, standing a bit away from Kelsey after emerging from Cafe Soleil.
"You and me both."
Harrison, startled, glanced to StarBurst, who had made her way under the nearest cover. "Where did that come from!" He took out StarBurst's pokeball, apologizing, before sending her back in. "Hhh..." He bit his lip, starting to get a bit cold. "Curse the fact that I didn't wear a jacket..."
He ran back into the Pokécenter, wondering if waiting out the rain would be a good idea. Then again...he looked around at the Poké Store, trying to find an umbrella. Getting wet was not on Paul's list of things to do today.
"Bingpot."
"Altaria, just...get us off here. Or something." She grabbed a Greatball and sent of an Altaria, who looked up to the heavy rain. She hoped on her back and returned Milotic.
"Hmm. It seems our little blackout plan only effected a block of the city. Pity, we'll have to clear everyone out the hard way." the woman smiled.
The man nodded, typing something on a device. "Yes. The rain must make them hide so we can storm the streets."
