Lugia stopped and looked at Yas in concern. The small Dratini
wasn't moving at first, I shouldn't have battled them. Lugia
thought quietly, and bit back a sigh in relief when Yas grunted and
got up.
"Ugh, the world is spinning." He said quietly and tried to
regain his senses.
Kair sighed in relief and hugged her friend. "Are you hurt?"
She asked, looking him over. Part of her concern was getting in
trouble once they got home, but most of it was legitimately for
Yas' well being.
Yas panted and looked at Kair for a moment, he had a small, but
deep, scratch on his side. Though it was really small and would be
easy to lie about. "I'm fine." He panted.
"You two fought well, I think I'll let you go home now."
Lugia said quietly and looked at Yas slightly concerned.
Kair blinked in surprise at Lugia and cracked a proud smile,
swimming out with her chin up. "...At least we did it." She
whispered to Yas, supporting him on one side.
Yas nodded slowly and placed his head on hers as he was struggling
to stay awake now due to the aftermath of the fight. "Really, we
did it?" He asked in surprise.
"I'll just say that you got tired while we were playing and that
the cut was from me accidentally bumping you into a rock," Kair
suggested quietly. "It'll be alright."
Kair sighed and shifted his position so that Kair could easily
carry him. She swam towards the mouth of the cave, wondering if
they'd believe her excuse.
The dragonair looked at Yas and noticed the small cut had been
frozen from an accidental ice beam that Yas had shot off, but she
didn't say anything about it. "He's fine, the cut isn't that
bad, he'll just have a small scar on his side." She reported
kindly. "I think Kair's learnt her lesson, however I don't think
Yas will be leaving the cave for a couple days."
"For him to heal. Come on, it's time for bed." Kair's mother
insisted. Kair sighed and carefully handed Yas back to his mother
before swimming up to the cliff.
Yas groaned and muttered a very groggy and sleepy,
"goodnight" to Kair as she passed him. This was only heard
by Kair, and was barely heard by her mom. Dragonair pulled Yas
close to her and warmed up the frozen cut by curling up around her
son.
Kair glanced backwards and smiled guiltily at Yas.
"G'night." She whispered, curling up next to her mother. The
Dragonite wrapped her tail around the Dratini and pulled her closer
as the two drifted into sleep.
Yas was still passed out, his mom had left earlier and left the
cave. The small dratini shivered and curled up tighter as if he
were having a nightmare.
Kair was up already, having snuck away from her still sleeping
mother. She went down to the eggs first, as usual, to check if any
new Dratini had hatched. Still no one. She swam up to where Yas
slept and tilted her head at him. "...Yas? You okay?" She
whispered.
