I tried to upload a new avatar, but it wouldn't let me?
Info on image
I know I chose the right image
But it still won't let me?
I've tried it many times now, still not working. This image used to be a psd file (photoshop). Would that have affected it? Please help me!

How did you go from the psd file to the .png file?

I clicked rename, and switched .psd to .png. It came up with this, and I changed it. I changed it a couple of times between a few of the other allowed types too, to see if it would help. It didn't.

have you tried clicking "save as" and changing the file type?
also could the brackets affect it at all? (i just know that my file names can't contain brackets for some reason when im saving them)

I've changed the file type a bit, yes. I think I tried them all. I tried the bracket changing thing, but that didn't work either.

When you change the extension, without using a program [like changing it through 'rename' rather than Paint], you aren't actually changing the internal extension of the image itself.
You're just telling your device that you want that image opened with a .png program, rather than a .psd program, but the image itself will still be recognized as a .psd.

Opening it and then [in that program] choosing 'save as' and picking .png as the extension should fix it. [like NightmareTheEdgelord suggested]

Brackets might cause problem when saving the image, but that solely depends on the program itself or your Operating System. If the program [or OS] allows it, it won't cause any trouble when uploading it as an Avatar; I've had avatars with brackets in the name, so I know it doesn't matter ;)

It just worked! In the first photo, it was still set as Photoshop for format. I set it to JPG and then it worked! Thanks for the help!
