Most of us have been playing the Pokemon games for some time, but
experience isn't achieved without going through some dumb moments.
Like me for example: back when I first started playing the games, I
had no frigging idea how to use TMs to teach Pokemon new moves, so
of course when HMs reared their head I was stuck in the same area
for days until I finally figured out just how simple it was. I felt
really stupid. And then I proceeded to fill my team's moveslots
with the worst balance ever (my Sceptile had three Grass-type
attacks and Quick Attack, for example).
How about you guys? Have you ever done something that looking back
on now is a little embarrassing?
It took me days to get through most of the paths on B1, B2, W1, and
W2 because I would keep going in circles, walk into bushes, or not
know how to do it. I had a huge problem with the caves because I'm
a noob.
back when I started playing Pokemon I didn't realize how powerful
Gyrados was and liked Magikarp derpidity so i had a team of 6 Lv100
karps + plenty of karps to replace them
I had a bugged version of pearl. I spent 6 hours trying to catch a
shiny pikachu, and caught one. I played with the punchy for an hour
before the game crashed, I had never saved and lost the pikachu.
Back when I was little (around 6 I think) I was playing leafgreen
and I thought that when you caught your seventh pokemon and it said
"sent to Someone's PC" that some other random player got it
instead. I don't know how many times I restarted that game because
of that...
Still can't find the light blue sprite...but my worst was releasing
a mega able Charlizard! And the Royal Tunnel is an irritation when
it can be wrong!
So technically me and my best friend are idiots since when i was
playing my first game of pokemon
(which was diamond) i had shown my best friend it saying oh look
this is a really cool game. So i needed the toilet and gave my best
friend ds and went however when i came back i found out that he had
used my only masterball on a machoke since it looked cool.
I don’t remember many idiotic I had moments while playing Pokemon,
since most of them happened when I was just starting, which was
years ago. But I once put a mewtwo in the gts asking for an eevee
and expected someone to give me a shiny eevee since mewtwo was a
legend. I didn’t get that shiny eevee.
I constantly do kind of those: Crashing the game while trying to
execute arbitrary code. If that doesn't count, then.... Replacing
'Thundershock' with 'Double Team' on Pokemon Yellow...

Mine was when I was battling Steven in Alpha Sapphire and sweeping
his team with my Lv. 100, mega rayquaza, only to use a dragon move
against carbink, who then one shot-ed my rayquaza.
I
promise to do all in my power to see us through this safely

I was a newbie and playing Pokèmon Black. I decided to hunt for a
female Riolu. Turns out, I had caught my starter(a Piplup) and five
other Pokèmon AND used up ALL my Pokèballs when I FINALLY found a
Riolu. AND IT WAS FEMALE!
1. When I first played the games (my first game was Pokemon X,
although I knew about Pokémon before), I didn't understand that you
had to train Pokémon individually if you didn’t have the EXP
share.
2. One time I was playing Pokémon black, and I went to turn the
volume down on my DS, but I turned off the game, erasing hours of
hard work.:,(
