"It's fine, Tapu Koko will give me another one before long." Snow
said to Mira kindly, and glanced at Rai, who tied up the grunt to
subdue him until the cops came. He went over to Watt, and smiled
kindly. "Anyway let's go." He said and looked over to Zara with a
small smile.
~*~*~
"Since when do we call the police before our trainers go
into an evil team's base?" Kibo joked gently, and smiled at
Toka. "But yeah we should call the cops..."
~*~*~
Jolteon had been hit by the move, it slid back and growled. The
Pokemon then barked at Ampharos, and the two fled the room after
their trainers. Yuki snarled and glanced at Tiger. "Are you
alright?" He asked quietly.
Tiger blinked a few times. "I'm fine.." He panted, and looked up
when he barely heard Mel. "Go get Mel." He told his Umbreon
quickly. Yuki nodded, and ran out of the room. Tiger sighed and
leaned against the wall to catch his breath.
"... If you're talking about calling the cops, at least in Sinnoh,
they called the cops on Galactic countless times. But... we always
threatened them. Blackmailed them. Teams like these take special
measures to avoid police." Drew explained.
"Wha-- Yuki?" Mel turned quickly, spotting the Umbreon. She
frowned. "Where's Tiger? Are you guys okay? I haven't seen anyone
except Zara, Mira and Snow since we got here."
Connor tugged her sleeve.
"And Connor. But you don't count. I
won't let you leave my sight."
Mira nodded and got to her feet from her spot kneeling next to the
grunt. "We should find Tiger, right?" She suggested.
Watt jumped onto Rai's head. "You're a suuuper strong
fighter," He squeaked excitedly.
*~*~*~*
Toka laughed. "We'll borrow Jamie's pokegear when we get back,
since he can understand us." She suggested. She looked up at
Drew. "I didn't think about that. Hm."
Yuki nodded, and pointed to the room Tiger and Thora were still in.
He drew one claw out, and wrote in the ground, as it had been
softened a bit from the fighting going on. "Tiger's fine, a bit
burnt from a Houndoom, but he's alright." He wrote out the best
he could.
~*~*~
Rai smiled, and pat Watt on the head. "You'll get stronger,
don't worry." He said kindly and smiled.
"We should also find Soren, but he's injured so, Tiger would be a
better bet." Snow said quietly.
~*~*~
Kibo nodded, and smiled. "Yeah we can borrow his." He said
cheerfully. "As for the cops in Johto? They don't know of
Electron yet, so they'll be more than willing to block the building
off."
Mel paled slightly. "But.. Doesn't a burn from a Houndoom sting
forever? Or isn't that just a story to keep kids in line? I've
never been flamethrower-ed by one before," She frowned and then
nodded to Yuki. "Let's go see your trainer." She grinned weakly,
marching off in the direction Yuki had pointed.
Connor blinked and exchanged a look with Riu, who simply shrugged
in reply to his unasked question.
"We also have a sure idea of where Soren is," Mira added. "I can't
say the same for Tiger. Also where did Mel go--"
Watt grinned and hugged his father as best he could while being on
his head.
*~*~*~*
Toka nodded and started to head back to where Tapu Koko, Jamie, and
Frost were. "Thank Arceus the cops didn't know. I never thought
I'd say that in my life."
Yuki nodded in response to Mel, and glanced at Connor slightly, but
didn't say anything as he lead the way to the room Tiger was in. He
stopped, and looked up as Tiger met his gaze. The trainer looked
exhausted, and was sitting against the wall now. He had his hand
over his injured shoulder.
~*~*~
Snow looked thoughtful, and looked around. "Maybe Mel went off to
look for Tiger?" He suggested quietly. "Also wasn't Akio with you?"
He asked quietly.
Rai laughed gently and reached up to pull Watt into a hug.
"You're definitely strong and brave now." He said
gently.
~*~*~
Kibo nodded in agreement, and went for the door that they had went
through on the way here. "Yeah I second that." He said
quietly.
Snow looked thoughtful. "I think Thora mentioned something about
going to Soren's office to find the summons item. Maybe we should
try there first?" He suggested quietly.
"That you will." Rai said gently and smiled at Watt.
~*~*~
Kibo nodded in agreement and smiled. "Everything is going to be
fine." He said gently. He then froze as the door slammed shut
in front of them.
"Hey, Tiger, you look fantastic today. New outfit?" Mel approached
him carefully. "Yuki said you got burnt; How bad is it? Was it,
like, a direct hit?" She checked cautiously.
Tiger blinked, and closed his eyes before replying to her. "No
definitely not a new outfit." He joked gently in an attempt to get
her out of her cautious attitude. He blinked, and opened his eyes
and looked at Mel. "It was a fire fang, and it made contact, so
yeah a direct hit. Laura healed most of it, and I wrapped the rest,
but." He trailed off and sighed. He looked like he wasn't going to
say anything else to not scare her, but he shook his head clear. "A
Houndoom's burn never heals properly. It'll burn for a while, but
I'm use to it." He said gently, and tapped the small burn that was
on his cheek.
Mira nodded. "Good idea. Let's head out then get the hell out of
here." She murmured, looking at Amana (who had been sitting on top
of the grunt). He grinned and went back over to Mira and Snow.
Watt smiled back and jumped back onto Mira's arm.
*~*~*~*
Toka refrained from jumping backwards. "Uh. What was that?"
She muttered, startled, but her tone was cautious.
Snow nodded, and looked at Rai. His Raichu ran over to him and
stood next to Snow. "Alright let's go look for Soren's office."
Snow said with a bit of forced enthusiasm.
~*~*~
Kibo growled, and looked around wildly. He then spotted Soren, he
was standing as if he had never been hurt. The only hints of him
being injured was a few burns on his arms and legs. Kibo shoved
Toka behind him and snarled. "I was hoping for Tiger or one of his
idiotic friends, but here I have his two friends, and his dragonite
couple." Soren said lowly. "You really think I'd be down at the
beginning of the fight?" He laughed manically.
"Oh, is this.... uh... Sparrow? Bird guy? Wow, he's pretty tough
talking for such an idiot." Drew said, jumping right into her sort
of attack mode. "Then again, ididots like to think they're
smart..."
Mira nodded and started out of the room, looking around nervously.
I feel like we missed something. We forgot something... But
what? She thought and distractedly started towards Soren's
office.
*~*~*~*
Toka looked at the trainers on her back before growling and
charging her only non-physical attack, which was a dragon pulse.
"I had a bad feeling that would happen." She muttered.
Snow followed Mira quietly, and bit back a sigh, he looked around
cautiously as if he were watching for anything that might lead to
an ambush against them.
~*~*~
Kibo glanced at Toka and nodded, he charged up a fire punch. "We
need to try and make him faint." He whispered cautiously.
"I'm the idiot?" Soren said lowly, and growled. "You're the ones
who are trapped." He said lowly, and reached for a pokeball.
"Hey, buddy, if it hasn't crossed your mind, I shut down your
computer system. This is chess and I've got you in check,
birdbrain." Drew crossed her arms, but not before sending out
Magmortar, Abomasnow and Garchomp.
Mira glanced down at her pokedex. No messages. Whether that should
have worried her or made her feel better, she wasn't sure, but
still broke into a light jog until the office came into view.
*~*~*~*
Toka nodded and used the dragon pulse, hoping to make sure he
didn't grab the pokeball. "ASAP." She agreed.
