"Nothing," Rylie replied to Anubis, jumping down from the trap
door. "Right this way."
She led them to a large opening of the base; directly in front of
them was a balcony overlooking a large meeting table. To the left
of that was an exercise area. "I've got some explaining to do, hm?"
She called, jumping over the balcony.
Makau remained silent, assuming her most guarded position - arms
crossed over her chest coupled with stony eyes. She didn't want
anyone annoying her, she was busy. When Rylie said she needed to
explain, Makau simply opened her ears a little more, waiting for
the helpful information. The faster she could get away from all
these other people and do something productive, the faster she
could feel safe. Which would be the biggest relief, because there
was currently no one who seemed worthy of trusting, and she wasn't
pleased with that.
Rylie stood on top of the table. "Okay. Welcome to the WPA. My name
is Agent Clover, head of recruitment and training of new agents,"
She introduced. "You'll probably never learn my real name, just as
I'll never learn yours. Our suspect at large is a man named Hermie;
he has taken over the Earth, kidnapped ALL of the agency (except
for me and one other, of course) and basically frozen the Earth."
"I think mannequin killer is a good codename for the quiet girl
who's unhappy since she MURDERED my decoy... What is this... a
detention hall... Why are you so unhappy to be here when you could
be captured and probably tortured.?" Anubis said. "What a waste of
good talent and I request that we are not in the same department...
dang emo!"
"Don't you dare fight. Same department or not, you're
teammates, and as such you will get along. If you don't, bye
bye. I'll see you in Hermie's base," Rylie growled. "This is my
job. I stay here because without me--or us, now--who
is going to take the world back, hm?"
"I'm your new boss. Doesn't please you? Take your leave,"
Rylie said simply. "Training starts tomorrow. For now, explore the
base. Bunks are to your right."
"Oh... I"m pleased... I was hoping you weren't a pushover but you
have exceeded my expectations, too. Hopefully you're a GOOD
teacher." Anubis replied.
(It doesn't really matter, honestly, but 3rd person is usually
somewhat easier to write.)
"I'm Agent Clover. I... Pretty much run the place now," Rylie
introduced herself. "The bunks are on your right. I wouldn't tell
your real name to anyone, if I were you, but try to make
friends."
Makau couldn't help the small 'humph' that escaped her lips when
Rylie told them they had to cooperate. Honestly, she wasn't too
happy about it at all, but neither was the annoying one. She'd take
it. And, anyways, she was just taking a trial run, seeing both
sides of the playing field. If it came to it... well, she'd join
the other side. Or, better, go back to her actual home with her
partners. That would be ideal, but she seriously doubted that she
could leave just that easily. Choosing to not go check out the
bunks, she wandered off in a different direction, mostly thinking
to herself.
"So ShadowStar...How are you, let's be friends but I need some
details." I said positively, my language is categorized as having a
Spanish or Mexican accent.
