So I {finally lol} just unlocked the cooking pot and I'm wondering, will it only accept berries out of my item bag or if I grow the berries can I use those (to cook)? Kind of a simple question, but one I haven't seen answered anywhere, not even in the wiki. Thanks! ♥

Only berries from your berry bag, but like it matters since you can transfer berries with no fee. The only thing that you have to watch out for are recipes that need higher level berries, those you have to grow on your own.

You can always use the berries you grow to cook things. Just because it's asking for a level 1 Berry, doesn't mean you need to have enough in your Item Bag. You can grow some more and use those to cook.

What you can't do with grown berries, is feed Pokémon. If it's in the Berry Garden, you can use grown berries without any trouble.

[Also, if you do decide to use Berries from your Item Bag though I wouldn't recommend it, you don't need to transfer them. They'll be taken directly from your bag, as you choose the recipe]
