The distraction was a success. Any thoughts of Unova were erased for the time being, and Mel squealed, hugging Char. "Oooh my god, you're so pretty!" She cooed happily.

Distraction failed.

She turned her head and sighed. "I'm not saying you're anything like your dad, if that's what you mean. I'm allowed to hold grudges, and I'm not blaming you for what happened."

Char yipped happily and hugged back as best she could without hands. Mira sighed. I was close, but not close enough.

Tiger blinked and looked over from Mel to Z and back. He then sighed and shook his head obviously not a fan of the drama and conclusion jumping. "If that's what Mel actually meant, Z then I don't think we'd be..." He trailed off and sighed. He looked over to Cyndaquil and blinked. The Pokémon was looking at the lab obviously done with the drama. "I'm going into the lab..." He muttered quietly and walked away.

"Thank you." Robert replied before gently pushing Jamie towards the elevator. "Think he'll be as happy to see Quill as Quill is to see him?" Jamie asked as they waited for the elevator to come down. "Maybe."

Char released her. "She's just a big puppy at heart, really," Mira chuckled. Char nudged Mel one more time in thanks and trotted back to Mira.

Though she still felt guilty, Mel stubbornly refused to say anything, not wanting to spark another argument. Instead, she turned to glance at Riu, who simply shrugged at her. Thanks for the help, buddy.

Tiger walked into the lab and looked around. Cyndaquil glanced up at him "well that could have gone over better..." the Pokémon said quietly. Tiger nodded his agreement and looked up as the lab's assistant glanced at Tiger.

"Oh hello, Tiger. Elm said you might stop by... Sycamore's upstairs there's an elevator to the back if you want to see him" she said kindly. Tiger nodded his thanks and went to the elevator. He saw Robert and Jamie as he walked to the elevator. It finally arrived on the ground floor.

Z went towards the lab The professors and my mom are the only ones who know what my dad is like. She thought walking into the lab.

Mira smiled at Mel. "Let's go up to the lab!" She suggested, trying to sound as cheerful as possible. Truthfully, she was in a better mood now that Char was out. She was putting off enough heat to warm Mira up beautifully.

Mel nodded in cheerful agreement. "Yeah!" She exclaimed, darting into the building. She slowed down as she approached the elevator, with Riu right behind her.

Robert looked over at Tiger and nodded at him while Jamie waved. "Here to see Sycamore as well?" Robert mused as he entered the elevator with Jamie.

Tiger nodded "yep" he said kindly he glanced over to Mel and the others. "I'll see you up there. There isn't enough room for everyone in the elevator" he said kindly. The elevator doors then shut and it went up to Sycamore's room. Tiger leaned against the wall and stayed silent as the others arrived.

Mira looked at the rather tiny elevator, then back at her space heater. "I have a solution," She mumbled, climbing onto Char's back and hugging her, going into the elevator.

"We can all fit." Mel said with a grin, crouching down. Riu hopped onto her shoulders (its a miracle, you can actually hold something!) and they made their way in. "See? Easy."

Tiger nodded and returned Akio. He picked Cyndaquil up and pressed the button to go to Sycamore's room. Once the elevator reached the top, Tiger walked out of the elevator and looked around.
