"Alright," Gallade said. "This is the final step, and the hardest
part. Please hold your Blade between your hands, and focus your
aura energy into it - do it as though you are using Aura Sphere on
the blade, but send the energy directly into the Blade, rather than
first into a ball with which you may unintentionally break the
Blade." Gallade himself did a demonstration; the previously white
and translucent blade was filled with a sudden wave of Aura energy,
bathing it in a faint yellow-green light that shone out from the
inside. He continued to do so for several minutes, barely blinking,
and with each moment, the light grew ever so slightly stronger.
By the time Lucario's Blade was about half-full of Aura energy,
Gallade had finished his own, and began to test it out. He swung
the blade through the air, and found that it was far lighter than
most of the others he had created; he figured that it would be
easier to manage than the others, but also slightly less powerful.
He wondered what Lucario's would be like.
Gallade nodded. He leapt up to a nearby tree and slashed off a
cluster of Leppa Berries with his Aura Blade, then held his hand
out, offering half of them to Lucario. "Would you like to eat while
we do?" he asked.
Gallade bit into one of the Leppa Berries as he led the way into
the entrance of the Training Cavern; thankfully, the entrance
wasn't a part of the dungeon by itself, and only the parts that
were further in were home to wild Pokémon.
"That, my apprentice, is up to you. You may continue to hone your
skills in hopes of becoming recognized as one of the world's best
Aura users, you may become my partner in teaching whichever new
apprentices we may find, you may go follow whatever dreams you may
have... I cannot make this choice for you, but I can acknowledge
the fact that there are many, many possibilities," Gallade
answered.
"You have as long as you need," Gallade said. "If it truly gets to
the point that you have nothing left to learn, and you still
haven't decided, I will gladly allow you to stay here."
Gallade nodded, and decided on the next lesson. "Now, I have a very
special opponent for you to face. This opponent is extremely
difficult to defeat, and I do not expect you to win on your first
try. If you think you are ready, please follow me to the second
path of the Training Cavern, which you have never taken before
unless you ignored my warnings."
