Circuit flailed a bit at first, startled, but calmed down when he
realized it was Amber. The two exited the dungeon to find Lucario
reminiscing about his past...
SPECIAL EPISODE I:
THE POWER OF AURA: LUCARIO'S PAST
From this point onwards, all
posts will be in the perspectives of Lucario (GhestriHoundoom) and
his teacher, Gallade (CarpetMonster). We will return to the roles
of Amber and Circuit when the sign Special Episode Over appears; until
then, let's have the best adventure we can!!
"Lucario, you are doing well!" Gallade praised, seeing that his
student had finally formed an Aura Sphere. It was small, yes - not
the best Aura Sphere he had seen - but it was a huge improvement
from the previous day, when Lucario had struggled even to
understand how his fighting style affected his Aura.
"Alright," Gallade said. "Now, in order to do this, you normally
need to find a Raw Crystal in the Cavern. However, I have already
found two, so this time, we can get right to it. Here is your Raw
Crystal." Gallade gave Lucario a spiky crystal that was vaguely
similar to a Pineco in shape. "Please do not begin yet. Watch me
first. Are you certain that you are ready?"
Gallade nodded. "Watch me closely, Lucario. First, you must
carefully remove each piece of the crystal from the sides, like
so." Gallade pulled out each of the spikes from the crystal. "Next,
lay them together like this." He put the pieces together like a
puzzle on a flat stone, forming a zigzagging blade, with the
largest pieces at one side and the smallest at the other. "Do you
have any questions so far?"
Gallade nodded back and put his hands on the largest piece,
preparing a Sunny Day attack, but not launching it towards the sky;
rather, he kept it between his hands, sending pulses of red-hot
energy across the blade and melting the pieces together, before
stopping the move and letting the blade to cool into one solid
piece. It still wasn't done, but it was looking much better than
before. "If you do not know Sunny Day, or any other Fire-type move,
I can do this part for you."
Gallade nodded; Lucario had done it right, and it was melded into
one piece. "Good. The next part is fairly simple; you need only
heat it with Sunny Day once more, and cut it into a more
streamlined shape." Gallade used Sunny Day, then slashed at the
blade, cutting off the edges and turning it from a zigzag shape to
a properly pointed shape.
"Hmm..." Gallade said, examining it. "As I said, a streamlined
shape would be best. The way you have it now, the inside is
sharp enough to cut things, but the outside is still the jagged
shape that we were supposed to get rid of in this step. Still, I
suppose that it all depends on your fighting style; if a blade with
that shape is easier for you than a blade with the shape of this
one, I believe it is possible to make that into an Aura Blade as
well, as it is the crystal itself that absorbs the Aura power and
the shape itself doesn't matter."
