Also, just saying, but this round will be a bit different. There will not be a pre-determined Mayor, instead, anyone (!) can run as a candidate as Mayor. However, there is a limit of 3 people running for that, so you might wanna be fast to make a claim. Everyone who did not run for the Mayor election can vote one of the candidates and the one with the most votes keeps their original role and gain the Mayor role as well.
Keep in mind that this means you're potentially voting a mafia member or the 3rd party as Mayor~

This is a tad closer to the original Werewolf games and I found the concept quite interesting, so I want to see how it goes here.

That's the point.
Any party can make use of the mayor role. Don't forget that the mayor can be utilized by the mafia even if the mayor is a town role.

A cop/mayor would be the only thing that can be dangerous to the mafia, but you don't know the first role.
And you can still vote your mayor if you suspect them to be mafia.
