"She's a normal type trainer... I think I could atleast try. Volt
can use thunder wave on all her Pokemon, and iron Tail on her
clefairy... or was it a clefable?" Victor muttered as he tried to
think. Star was in battle form since she was quite nice at hunting,
Volt was Victor's trusty battler, Shine could decently hold his
own, and the trainer was unsure about Blaze.
It was rather eccentric trying to take on Whitney before Falkner or
Bugsy, but since they were nearer to Goldenrod than any of the
other gyms, he thought he'd try that badge, since Volt was slightly
overlevelled, having travelled through Kanto before.
Victor sent out the Cyndaquil. "Hey Blaze, want to take over a gym
leader?"
Blaze replied with a happy "Cynda!"
"We need to train you against a few wild Pokémon." Victor said. As
if they were listening him, a row of ratatta rushed towards the
trainer. Apparently Star had annoyed them by hunting.
"Nice." Mel snorted. "I'm gonna go train or something. I'll see you
guys later." She said and waved as she headed off. Dewott scrambled
onto her shoulder and hung on.
Victor and Blaze decide to handle the first ratatta.
The Cyndaquil burnt ratatta with Ember, and began to use a flurry
of quick attacks. Victor checked Blaze's moveset, and apparently
the Cyndaquil knew flame burst by breeding.
(not even gonna lie, I had nightmares about her milktank while i
was playing)
"I was thinking we should level you up." Mel suggested as they
walked through the grass. Dewott nodded in agreement, still
clutching her shoulder. "I also needed a break from them for a
bit." She said with a grin.
Tiger yawned and thought about the confrontation in Goldenrod. He
knew a few people had seen the silver wing, and last time that
happened he was told to go turn himself in by the trainers who
wanted to keep their city safe. What will they do this time?
he asked himself in concern.
"Alright, now hide up in the ceiling and charge another Dragon
Rage!" Roy smiled. He was going to have his third badge before he
had gotten his second or first.
(nope, he went around using his gym trainer permissions :p
"I see. But your Miltank doesn't have more than 80 health, so i can
slowly whittle your HP down. Dragon Rage, then dive and use Wrap!"
Roy said, confident that he could beat Whitney's Miltank.
"Wh-what? I... won?" Roy asked himself, disbelieving. He had heard
stories of Whitney's difficulty for new trainers who had already
earned 2 badges, while he won with none.
