"Yeah.. about that.." Mel rubbed the back of her neck nervously.
"I'm not sure how many buildings and people survived. Ho-oh really
did a number on this place." She sighed.
Tiger looked around, and for the first time realized the damage
done. "This is my fault..." He said outloud on accident. "I should
have just drawn Ho-Oh to the national park before he showed up
here" he whispered.
"It’s not your fault. It’s all Team Rocket's fault. No ifs and buts
to that." Victor said with an air of finality before Tiger could
argue,
"Anyways it wasn’t useless since Shine grew by a few levels with
the rescue." He said.
Mel nodded in agreement with Victor. "Besides, we all took part in
it. We could have done more, but we didn't. It's on us too. Team
Rocket sent Ho-oh, not you."
Tiger nodded slowly, and sighed. "Yeah...I guess you two are right"
he said in an unconvinced tone. He then looked over toward the
Pokemon center, and sighed sharply. "Sorry if I was untrusting of
secretive...." He said lowly.
"It’s all well. Even I've not been exactly open... this
stone.." Victor continued, looking at his bracelet. "..even
though I love this stone to shreds I'm pretty sure it’s giving me a
headache." He said.
The garnet in Victor's bracelet was shimmering innocently.
"Me too." Mel said softly, and then looked up with a sigh. "Sorry I
didn't trust you. Maybe if I had, most of this could have been
avoided." However, she remained silent abou the griseous orb in her
backpack.
((Going offline for at least half an hour, see you lmao))
(Okay I might dissapear to for a few as I'm about to head to
work)
"It's alright...I wasn't very trustful. Because well....I grew up
around Pokemon more than humans so I don't really trust many
humans" Tiger replied quietly. "Though you guys. I don't know why
but I seem to trust you...anyway" he sighed and noticed the stone
Victor had.
Tiger nodded and decided not to as anymore questions. "We should
get out of here before people start asking questions..." Tiger said
lowly and saw a few trainers eyeing Tiger cautiously. Some of them
had seen Tiger summon Lugia will they think I summoned Ho-Oh
too? he thought partially afraid.
"Have you both got Volkner and Bugsy's badges? I read we usually do
them first." Victor said. He was quite confused about challenging
Goldenrod first, but he didn’t mind the order since Volt was on a
level enough to handle the Goldenrod gym.
"No we're going back to Violet to fight Falkner..." Tiger trailed
off. He then sighed "listen this journey ca be dangerous, and I
already talked to Roy about it. Team Rocket knows I'm the holder of
the silver wing, and they will be targeting me. I'm not forcing you
all to come with me on this journey but if you decide to come...I
warn you now it'll be dangerous." He finished evenly, and blinked.
It was different from what he planned about abandoning the group,
but Roy was right the more the merrier.
Mel blinked. "If you think I'm quitting now because of this, you're
dead wrong. I'll tag along. Dewott and I might not want to
challenge the gyms, but we'll keep training so we're strong enough
to help. Besides, you're gonna need someone who's willing to jump
into the fire."
"Do you think we're blind?" Victor began in an icy voice. "I
wouldn’t speak for anyone else, but I can see what they're capable
of doing. See what they've done to this place! Of course I'm
staying, and I'm prepared to see the worse of it. I didn’t come to
Johto to just be a teensy weensy safe champion!" He took a slight
pause. "Even if I didn’t want to I'm sure my Pokemon in Kanto will
be ashamed of their trainer if I don’t go." The boy's voice
softened, and a vision of his Charizard met his reddish-brown eyes
in nostalgia of Kanto.
Tiger nodded a thanks, and smiled. "Thanks guys" he said with a
sigh. He wasn't even planning on becoming the champion at all, he
just wanted to get stronger. "We can camp in Ilex forest for the
rest of the night, and get back to Violet by evening" he suggested.
