Paisley nodded at Drew. “Okay. You lead the way and if someone
comes, you stop them from moving with Telekiensks and I beat the
crap out of them.” Paisley bossed, tightening her ponytail shortly
afterwards.
Mason felt it unnecessary to continue the conversation as Will’s
concerns had been figured out. He sighed and placed his hand on the
top of the air duct, feeling the cold metal. He then turned to Cole
and to Sanaki. “We can’t leave with Paisley and Drew down there...”
he told Cole though looking at Sanaki.
"I can help too. If you need that extra distraction." Luke smirked,
"If we spot or have any sense of anyone around who may be hostile.
I know some things."
Will decides to talk, "If you let me loose, I might be able to hold
a few of them down to leave an exit, but I can only do it if I'm
not bound." He immediately regrets talking, realizing what he would
have to do if they let him loose.
Will freezes, eyeing C with determination. "Is it really that hard,
I mean honestly, all you have to do is undo the duct tape,
something so small, for something all of you most likely want."
"I dont see how a onetime usage shield helps" will says, a hint of
annoyance in his voice. Will prepares to loop his legs through his
arms, to move his bound hands in front of himself.
Paisley took a deep breath and followed closely behind Drew. She
mimicked Drew and pressed herself against the wall beside her,
looking over and squinting hoping to spot if anyone was coming.
Mason looked over at Sanaki before crawling over to the elevator
shaft. He looked down to see there'd been no or very dim lighting
now and immediately overcame with worry. He stuck his head down a
bit, trying to pick up on any of Drew or Paisley's emotions, as he
didn't want to shout down in case there'd been people down there as
well. "I can't sense them." he whispered to Sanaki, then looking at
Amara and the others, choosing to ignore them.
Will drops to the floor, seeing, and hearing things, but too dizzy
and far from conscious to do anything. He starts muttering "Never
lose pistol, pistol is important" over and over again in his sleepy
state.
Cole was angry. He growled "Uuurgh! Are we getting out of here or
not?!" at first, he was only annoyed at being inside the vents. Now
he's just plain angry. "Look, Im going to try and find a way to the
bathroom or out of this place. Who wants to come with me?!"
"I'm just following the group, seems like a smart thing to do.
Going places alone is incredibly dangerous at this point." Luke
pointed out, "Two officials are already dead so..."
Mason nodded at Sanaki, then looked at Cole and shushed him.
"You're being too loud... I think we passed a bathroom a bit back
before this elevator shaft." he told the boy.
Paisley grunted as she was pulled down and suddenly found Drew's
hand over her mouth. She initially thought to yell, though quickly
remembered the situation she was in. The girl heard footsteps
approaching and scanned the ground for any signs of people walking.
Her heart began to race and she took shorter, deeper breaths hoping
to stay quiet.
