Legend of the Chrystanigh (Semi-Literate)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Pokémon RP → Legend of the Chrystanigh (Semi-Literate)'More Pokemon. Obviously here to see what's going on.' Lunaro concluded.
Suddenly, the Pichu took off. The Poochyena flinched back, reflexively, before watching her disappear into the treetops.
Silently, her wings receded and her fur rippled into a megenta colour.
"Pardon me for a moment." She mumbled, closing her eyes.
Focusing on the life signatures around her, she searched out for the Pichu that ran off.
Ah, there she was.
She had taken a different form. Lunaro recognized this Pokemon. A Zorua. There had been one or two in the original Chrystanigh camp.
Wait, another larger life signature.
Something near the Zorua.
Lunaro's eyes flickered open, fading from a pink colour.
She looked at Bracken and Gliz, then to Damien. "Do any of you know that Pichu's- well..." She stopped herself. "She's not a Pichu. She's a Zorua. I could sense it. But do any of you know her name?"
SHe would have to worry about that other signature later. Hopefully it wasn't hostile. It was a Pokemon much larger than Lunaro, and the Poochyena didn't know what typing it was. It was staying hidden. She couldn't see an outline at all.
Crystal took a quick looked towards Lunaro who looked towards her then the space next to her. She moved behind the trunk of the tree in an attempt to hide that she knew wouldn't really work but, it made her feel better. She felt something move slightly beside her but nothing was there. Maybe it was the wind.. or just a leaf.
Startled by Crystal's sudden action, Bracken made a move to follow after her before stopping. You should go after her, he practically heard Thyme tell him. She seemed really upset. But the Treecko didn't move. Was she upset that the Glameow had revealed her identity? It didn't really seem like that big a deal to him. If he did follow after her, what would he say? "I'm sorry your little prank got ruined?" Yeah, like that would be much of a comfort to her.
But more than that, Bracken's bruised pride from earlier made him hesitate the most. He could hear Thyme scolding him again, calling him selfish, saying that he never cared about others and that he should just get over himself. He gritted his teeth and forced the accusing voice out of his mind. It's not like I don't care! he thought fiercely to himself. Is it so terrible that I can't get over something that happened not even an hour ago?
Bracken took a deep breath to calm himself down. He should go after Crystal. He really should. But in the end, he stood where he was, gazing in the direction she had run off, a heavy feeling settling on his chest. He looked up when Lunaro asked if anybody knew the Zoroa's name.
"Her name is Crystal," he answered, looking down a bit.
(**Happy Birthday Vegito** (24th if the day has already changed for you))
Aurum walked around aimlessly, feet crunching on the dead leaves. Groaning in boredeness, Aurum looked around for a moment before settling himself in the hollow of a tree root, Golden Armor shining in the sunlight. Leaning his head back against the wood of the tree with an audible thump, Aurum groaned again; was the path to becoming a Chrystanigh really this boring? If it was, Aurum would rather have stayed with his brother; at least then there would be interesting fights to fight in, and contests to compete in. Flopping over on his side, Aurum yawned loudly, and started to drift off to sleep.

However, when a new voice broke the quiet from a distance that only pokemon with hearing as sensitive as hers could pick up, she perked up. Whoever is was could be no more than a child. At night she'd been fooled several times with this trick by ghost pokemon, but it wasn't night now. Besides, even then she'd never hesitated to find the source of the calls. Looking back at the other two pokemon, her ears still flicked out to listen to the calls, she gave a short nod. "Please excuse me, but I'll be back. Don't worry, I want to be a Chrystanigh too, but somethings are higher up on my agenda." With that and no more explanation, she took off toward the sound at high speed. It couldn't be too far, but yet she felt like she couldn't get there fast enough. The voice had stopped, but she remembered about where it came from. Drawing close, she stopped and listened again. The sound of a small pokemon crying could be heard. Approaching more slowly now, she carefully called out. "Hello? I heard you earlier. I'm Gliz, please don't be frightened..." Almost as soon as the words were out of her mouth, she finally came into site of the pokemon. A dog, but not like any she had seen before. No, this was definitely one of the legendary pokemon that she'd heard many myths of. The blue fur and purple mane... It had to be Suicune. Stopping dead in her tracks, she blinked a few times. Could this be another Zorua? It wasn't a Ditto, for sure, because those had a distinct smell. It was so real though... Maybe a Zoroark?

But her words still weighed heavily on his mind. What's past is past. He knew what she was implying. It was the same thing he had been struggling with earlier. But somehow... the fact that she had not scolded him or outright told him that he should go after Crystal made him finally get over his hesitation. She's right, he thought, sighing. I should go and make sure she's all right at least.
Bracken looked back over to Lunaro and Damian. "I'll... be right back," he said quickly, and then he darted off in the direction Crystal had gone. He climbed up a tree and jumped from branch to branch, keeping a lookout for the little fox. I hope she didn't go too far off. If I can't even find my way home, I'd never be able to find her. However, his worries were relieved when he finally saw the Zoroa sitting on the branch of a tree to his right. He slowed down and walked over, finally jumping down a few feet across from her.
Not knowing what to say, Bracken bit his lip. "Um, hey, Crystal..." he started, shuffling his feet. "You... alright?"

Crystal heard the voice of Bracken when she realized the voice in her head was gone. She snapped out of her daze and looked at Bracken, her eyes still a little red. She turned her head back hoping he hadn't seen it and responded stubbornly, "I'm fine. I-I just... lost interest." She didn't want to look at him with her red eyes and stayed facing away stubbornly. She was actually a little happy that he even cared but, she refused to let him know that.
Deciding that anything was better than this silence, Bracken forced the words out of his mouth. "Er, do you want to go back? The Glameow didn't mean to, um, upset you like that. Or... uh, do you, y'know, need some more time to yourself?" he stumbled. He felt his face grow a bit hot. His words sounded stupid and not comforting at all and he just wanted to bury his face in his hands and groan but he didn't want to do that in front of Crystal, so he just looked down at his feet.
"Wait!" The word escaped his mouth before he even knew it was there. "I... I know how you feel. I, er..." he tried to think of the right words, but decided to let it all tumble out instead. "If you're calling yourself a failure, then I'm ten times worse than you. At least you're great at tricking people and keeping them fooled. You even had Lunaro fooled, and she's the leader of the Chrystanigh! Me, I try to make my brother relax a little and I end up lost in my own home." He sighed. "Maybe neither of us can be of much help to Lunaro. But from what she told us, the Chrystanigh didn't rely on the few who were strong to hold themselves up. They worked together as a team. So, maybe, when we end up failing and feel useless, we'll be there to pick each other up."
Bracken's heart pounded in his chest. He hadn't meant to say all that, but he honestly meant it and wasn't about to take it back. "If you want to go, I won't stop you," he said, looking down again. "But if you don't, I'll be with you every step of the way."
Hearing the Gallade approach, she looked over her shoulder. Smiling, she looked back to see the Latias disappear at his voice. Continuing forward, she went right up boldly to the young scared legendary. "My name is Gliz, I'm a Glameow. Like Latias said, no one here wants to hurt you. I heard you crying, and I just had to see if I could help. Speaking of, are you already hurt? Or just lost? Maybe I can help, I know my way around."
