"Hope you brough the Champion Trophy to hand it over to me." Kyfron retorted, following Nick down and taking stand at the opposite side of the field.

"Electivire, standby for battle!" he called, sending out his Electivire to lead the fight.

"Tyranitar, let's go." Nick said, her demeanor changing to a serious one. "As champion, it's traditional for me to give you first move. So come at me." She smiled coldly. The crowd was almost silent, Jess on the edge of her seat.

"Don't mind if I do; Electivire, use Electric Terrain and follow it up with Thunder!" Kyfron commanded.
Kyfron's Electivire cried its name loudly as electricity spurted from its body, covering the battlefield in it. The balls on the ends of Electivire's antennae then were surrounded by electricity and it fired a blast of electricity towards the Tyranitar.

Kyfron watched as Electivire took the hit, unknowing on how else to avoid it besides jumping which Electivire was too heavy to do.
"Stand up, Electivire, give it one was blow with Focus Punch!" Kyfron ordered, Electivire doing so and swinging at the opposing Tyranitar. Before seeing whether or not the attack landed, Electivire fainted.

Nick grimaced as Tyranitar was KO'd. "Not bad. Not bad at all." She smiled, sending out her Drifblim, who inflated-sort of- as it rose into the sky.

Kyfron smirked at Nick's comment, taking it personally as some sort of praise and recognition of power before sending out his Mamoswine to battle.
"Do I get the first move again or should I be a gentlemen and let ladies go first?"

"Mamoswine, Protect!" Kyfron ordered. Mamoswine stood up on its hind legs and put up a blueish-green force field that shielded him from the Will-O-Wisp. As he grounded, dirt swirled beneath his feet. The Protect, however did not stop him from taking a direct hit from the Hex. "Mamoswine, Ice Shard!"

Drifblim, having less than half of her health left, shot another Hex and Will-O-Wisp pair, as she floated down. Nick grinned.

Mamoswine took the hit with barely any of his health remaining.
"Mamoswine, Ancient Power!" he ordered. Mamoswine cried out and stomped on the ground, summoning six to seven spherical rocks from it surrounded in a purple and green aura and shot it directly towards Drifblim.
"Stay strong!" Kyfron encouraged.

Drifblim collapsed, having been knocked out. Frustrated now, Nick sent out Mienshao. "Aura Sphere!" Nick commanded as an orb of energy was shot towards Mamoswine.

Kyfron noticed Nick's frustration and smirked. "What's the matter? Not as strong as you thought?" he taunted, allowing his Mamoswine to take the direct hit from the Aura Sphere causing him to faint.
He followed this by sending out his Lopunny to battle. "Defense Curl!" he commanded, noting that most Fighting-type moves are direct attacks.

He then placed the tips of his index and middle finger onto his Mega Stone, hidden under the collar of his shirt, and Mega Evolved his Lopunny and commanded it to use Dizzy Punch, hoping the newly Mega Evolved Pokemon's Speed would be too overwhelming for its opponent to dodge.

Mienshao took the hit, but retaliated with Power-Up-Punch, raising her attack even higher. "Now, High Jump Kick!" Nick commanded, smiling at the well placed attack.

Lopunny took both attacks directly, critically lowering its health. The Mega Lopunny then fled with Baton Pass, switching places with Kyfron's Cherrim who, naturally, began its battle with Sunny Day in order to change into Sunshine Form.
He commanded the Pokemon to use Petal Dance, sending a flurry of pink petals flying towards Nick's Mienshao, the power slightly boosted thanks to its Flower Gift ability.

"Hold on and use Acrobatics!!" Nick shouted. It was her trump card for Mienshao, as the Pokémon didn't have an item which greatly boosted the power, along with the super-effective bonus.

Kyfron smirked Cherrim held onto a small bit of health with its Focus Sash and commanded one final move, Healing Wish. The Cherrim fainted immediately afterwards and he sent his Lopunny back out to battle, it being healed as it entered the battlefield. "Like my strategy?" Kyfron shouted across the battlefield after commanding the Pokemon to attack with Return.
