DesertClan (Roleplay)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → DesertClan (Roleplay)Ashpelt licked Sunkit between the ears. "I'll tell you the other story when you're an apprentice. It's to sad for you now" he mewed gently, and sat down. "It happened a moon before you and your brother were born. Desertclan and PineClan were getting ready for the first gathering for moons. We set up a place to go, and prepared for the gatherig" he began.
Hawkpool nodded and sighed longingly. "Our clans have been separated for season. We didn't even know each other existed why does he warrior code have to contradict our love" she meowed sadly.
Sunkit at her rabbit quickly and snuggled close next to Ashpelt, licking her paws and cleaning her face. She listened intently, not having heard this particular story before.
Duskwind's ear pricked at Hawkpool's words. " Oh? So...you're saying you love me, then?, " he said, giving a small smile. Though his words were teasing, his eyes had a soft look to them.
Ashpelt purred and glanced at Bramblekit who was curled up next to him. "I was on a patrol with Dawnpelt, and Flamestar to see the turtle rock and where the gathering would take place?" He continued.
"O-of course I do you mouse brain" Hawkpool mewled quietly and looked at Duskwind.
Feathercloud yawned and flicked her tail, slightly bored, though she was thankful nothing exciting was going on. Tomorrow she'd probably kill herself working again, but it was gonna be worth it to make the camp walls as strong as possible.
Sunkit tilted her head slightly, " Does the turtle rock really look like a turtle?," she mewed, unable to prevent herself from asking.
Duskwind's tail swished as he purred warmly. " Just wanted to be sure. " he said, giving Hawkpool a lick behind her ear. " I think I've loved you since I saw you bring down that Hawk, " he mewed.
Duskwind smiled, " I'm surprised a Pineclan warrior hadn't tried to capture your heart earlier, " staring at Hawkpool with admiring eyes. His ears twitched as he heard pawsteps approaching, and he turned to see Dawnpelt coming near the elders den. Duskwind resumed eating his pigeon nonchalantly, hoping his sister hadn't heard their conversation.
Dawnpelt sat near the entrance of the elder's den, her golden eyes ever so lightly illuminated by the fading evening light. " Hawkpool, could you or another Pineclan warrior come with me and Mudfeather on a Dawnpatrol tomorrow?," she mewed, glancing at Duskwind suspiciously.
Feathercloud glanced at Fallentree and shrugged. "Only if you want to help. There isn't much more to do, but a little more work on the outer walls." She meowed, glancing back out of the camp. "And I won't die, maybe just refuse to get up for a few moons."
Hawkpool was about to respond when she looked up and saw Dawnpelt. She flicked an ear, and dipped her head. "Of course I'll find someone for the patrol" she mewled evenly.
Fallentree purred and flicked his tail slightly. "If you do kill yourself whole repairing the camp, I'll have to get Tigerstripe to go to StarClan and yell at you" he meowed jokingly.
Dawnpelt shared a long gaze with Hawkpool, her tail flicking, then looked to Duskwind, " I'll see you in the warrior's den, " she said simply, and left, her tail twitching as she moved. What can I do about my brother..., Dawnpelt pondered as she walked. She looked around the camp for the familiar pale orange pelt of Flamestar, wishing to speak with him.
Duskwind let out a small breath as his sister left. " What, don't want to go on a morning patrol with my lovely sister?," he mewed to Hawkpool.
"The twoleg at first let his dog off the leash" he continued after nuzzling Sunkit. "The dog immediately noticed us. It chased after Graysky first."
Flamestar was talking to Lilystream near the leader's den. He looked up, and nodded to his daughter. Lilystream then ran off to the medicine den with a mouse. Flamestar nodded to Dawnpelt. "Hello, Dawnpelt" he meowed gently.
Hawkpool shrugged "I don't think she likes me much..." She admitted awkwardly. Flicking her tail in slight discomfort.
Dawnpelt dipped her head respectfully as she approached Flamestar, “ Good evening, Flamestar. How is Lilystream doing?” She inquired, glancing at the warrior as she bounded away.
Duskwind laughed a beat, “ Honestly, I don’t think Dawnpelt likes anyone. Except for Ashpelt of course,” he added, rolling his eyes a bit. “ and I think she likes her kits, but who knows,” he mewed.
"Lilystream is fine. She and I were talking about the old camp" he mewed gently. "I just sent her off to give Tigerstripe and Greenbush something to eat. Is there something I can help you with?"
Hawkpool nodded and sighed "yeah. Though I think she cares deeply about you." She said quietly. "I don't think she approves of us, I think she's concerned. About well what might happen when I go home"
Dawnpelt shifted in her paws, unsure where to begin, " Well, first, I was thinking about the rogue cats. Perhaps we ought to investigate where they are hiding out. " she mewed. " I don't like the idea of simply waiting for them to attack again, " she said.
Duskwind shrugged, " We don't need to think about that right now. For now, we'll enjoy the time we have, " he said, nudging her gently with his nose.
Ashpelt nodded "Flamestar and I gave it some scratches to think about and it ran back to his twoleg." He meowed gently. Bramblekit had fallen asleep next to Ashpelt. The small kit curled up against his side.
Flamestar nodded and thought for a moment "we can send a patrol out in a quarter moon. At least then some of our warriors will be fully healed" he said gently.
Hawkpool nodded and yawned. She pushed the remains of the bird over to Duskwind. "You better get back to the warrior's den before Dawnpelt finds out your still here. I'll go with the dawn patrol tomorrow..."
Sunkit looked slightly calmer, " You and Flamestar, the strongest duo in Desertclan, " she mewed happily, her tail swishing against Ashpelt's side.
Dawnpelt nodded, " Alright. Hopefully by then, we'll have warriors to spare, " she mewed, looking over the camp. " There's something else. It's Duskwind, " she said, turning back to Flamestar. " Him and the Pineclan warrior have grown exceptionally close, and I don't this is something that began recently. " she said, seriously.
Duskwind looked at Hawkpool curiously, and ate the remains of the Pigeon. " Alright, " he mewed, touching his nose to Hawkpool's "Relax, Dawnpelt isn't so bad, she's just too serious " he meowed as he padded out of the elder's den. Duskwind wished he could have stayed with her for the night, but he knew that was pushing it.
Ashpelt purred "I'm not sure. I mean I saw a strong duo today in the medicine den" he purred warmly. "They might have been stronger than me and Flamestar combined"
Flamestar nodded "keep an eye on him, and don't out him on any patrols together." He mewed quietly. "I'll have a word with Duskwind tomorrow"
Hawkpool mewed a goodnight and watched longingly as Duskwind left the den. She then curled up and closed her eyes.
Sunkit gave Ashpelt a perplexed look, not sure who Ashpelt was referring to. She tilted her head, " Who? " she mewed softly.
Dawnpelt nodded, seeming mildly reassured by Flamestar's guidance. " Thank you, I'll do my best. " She meowed. " Pineclan may be our allies...but we can't distort the Warrior's code," she said.
Duskwind padded into the warrior's den, yawning. He found a mossy spot near the back of the den, where no light could shine, and settled down. I wonder how that dawn patrol will go..., he thought as he curled his tail over his nose. He slowly drifted off to sleep.
