Flamestar nodded and dipped his head. "Why don't you get some rest for now" he said gently. "I'll talk to Duskwind when he wakes up tomorrow"

Sunkit seemed surprised, " Really? " she mewed sleepily while purring softly.


Dawnpelt nodded, " Alright. Thank you Flamestar, " she said, and took her leave. Maybe Duskwind will listen to his leader, and not his sister, she thought as her paws carried her towards the warrior's den.

Ashpelt nodded and purred back. "Really" he mewled and gently groomed his daughter's fur. He waited until Sunkit fell asleep before he would leave the nursery.

Flamestar nodded and dipped his head respectfully as his deputy left. He then got to his paws and went to his nest.

Sunkit's eyes fluttered shut as she fell into a deep sleep that only kits experienced, still purring softly.


Dawnpelt padded into the warrior's den to find her usual mossy spot near to the entrance. She curled up and groomed her self while pondering the day's events.

Ashpelt waited a few more minutes before getting to his paws. He nuzzled his kits before nodding to Flowerheart and walking out of the nursery. He then walked into the warrior's den and sat next to Dawnpelt.

"Hello" Ashpelt yawned and licked Dawnpelt's cheek. "Tigerstripe said I can stay in the warrior den so long as I don't go on any patrols for a quarter moon" he said gently and curled up sleepily.

Dawnpelt laughed quietly, " I suppose that's reasonable. You can find other ways to be useful, right?" she purred as she groomed Ashpelt's shoulder.

" I suppose you are exceptionally good at that. Better start collecting all the stories you know, " Dawnpelt said, tucking her face against Ashpelt's side. Slowly she began drifting off to sleep.

Still seated at the camp entrance, Feathercloud flicked her tail and yawned, ears twitching slightly. It had been an extremely uneventful night. Though, a lizard had scared her half to death-- Stupid lizards.

Dawnpelt awoke as the birds were calling noisily through the trees. Her eyes flicked open, seeing a dim sunlight just entering the camp. She yawned and carefully uncurled herself from Ashpelt's side. She padded softly towards Mudfeather, prodding her gently with a sheathed paw, " Dawn patrol," she mewed softly, before turning to exit the den. The air was crisp, not yet warmed by the sun. She shivered as she padded towards the entrance to relieve the guards.

Fallentree purred slightly as he remembered the lizard that scared Feathercloud. "You alright?" He said teasingly.

Mudfeather nodded and got to her paws. She left the den silently. Ashpelt continued to sleep as the dawn patrol left.

Hawkpool was sitting outside the den she looked at Mudfeather and Dawnpelt with slitted eyes.

"I saw my life flashing before my eyes." Feathercloud groaned, covering her head with her paws. "StarClan was calling my name, because of a lizard." She snorted.

Dawnpelt felt Hawpool's gaze, and paused to look back. One of her ears flicked, and she continued forward. " Feathercloud, Fallentree, you can go eat or sleep," she meowed to the two warriors. She sat down by the entrance and looked to Mudfeather, " We're waiting for a Pineclan warrior, then we'll head towards the turtle rock first. " she meowed.

Fallentree gave a mrrowl of laughter and looked over to Dawnpelt. "Thanks Dawnpelt" he meowed respectfully, and dipped his head. He glanced at Feathercloud. "It's a good thing I was hear you might have died to the big bad lizard" he purred.

Mudfeather nodded to Dawnpelt and flicked an ear to Fallentree and Feathercloud. She then saw Hawkpool pad over to the group.

Feathercloud dipped her head to Dawnpelt and stood, stretching. "My hero," She teased. "Saving me from lizards at moonhigh. A gift from StarClan themselves." She purred, padding towards the warriors den. She wasn't very hungry right now, just in need of a nap.

Dawnpelt followed Mudfeather's gaze as Hawkpool approached, " Morning Hawkpool, " She mewed. " We're heading towards the turtle rock first, " she repeated for the Pineclan warrior. " Then we will in the direction of the twoleg place, " she meowed for both warriors to hear.

Hawkpool nodded she decided last night not to speak much during the patrol. Mudfeather got to her paws and walked out of camp.

Fallentree purred and playfully nudged Feathercloud. "Those lizards could have been worse than the rogues" he joked.
