Hawkpool then went back to the river, and glanced into the water a silver flash warned her of a trout. She went to hook it out of the water, but missed causing water to splash onto her pelt.
Duskwind stifled a chittering laugh, and looked on at the rushing water. " Looking for a nightly swim?, " he joked, his tail twitching playfully.
Hawkpool purred, and splashed some water at Duskwind playfully. "Maybe so but you look more like a cat fish than I do" she meowed warmly.
Duskwind shook his head to get the water droplets off his face. " I'll have you know, I'm all cat. " he meowed, as he swiped a small silver fish out of the river. After giving the fish the killing blow, he glanced at their growing prey pile. " This is probably enough fish for now. Let's look for some furry prey, " he suggested.
Hawkpool purred, and nodded. She got to her paws, and parted her jaws to catch the scent of a mouse. "You might not find much. That fight would have scared most prey into their burrows" he mewled gently.
Duskwind flicked his tail, " I'm a big fan of waiting at a burrow for prey to emerge anyway, " he mewed. " However, perhaps not in the middle of the night. Let's return to camp with what we have, " he suggested. " If we find something on the way, then we'll grab it, "
Greenbush, on the other hand, was pretty much dead on his paws. He glanced at Duskwind and nodded with a yawn, though he didn't move to take any. He wasn't very hungry, just tired.
Icestar called to her warriors who were leaving, and nodded to Flamestar. The DesertClan leader nodded a thanks, and watched as the PineClan warriors padded away from the DesertClan camp.
Hawkpool and the other PineClan warriors then settled down in the elder's den. Hawkpool made nests for her clanmates as the den didn't have any nests. Once the nests were made she curled up and fell asleep.
Ashpelt sat up in shock as if he had woken up from a nightmare. He looked around the medicine den in confusion his fur still bristling slightly. He then panted and groomed his fur in an attempt to calm himself down.
Bramblekit woke up and went to the nursery entrance, he use to sneak out of his den, and bother the her warriors, but the events from last night caused him to just sit there and stare at the clearing that held the camp.
Feathercloud had spent most of the night dragging branches into a pile for the other cats to add to the camp walls so they wouldn't have to search for good branches. She'd grown so tired, she hadn't even heard Duskwind when he'd spoken to her. By the time she'd actually gotten into her nest and fallen asleep, the sun had probably already risen.
Greenbush, who was pretty sure he never slept, glanced over at Ashpelt in concern. "Are you alright?" He asked softly, as to not startle the warrior.
Duskwind woke up to the sound of bird calls as he slowly opened his eyes. He yawned, then caught a strong scent of leaves and wood. Duskwind flicked his ears in confusion then noticed Feathercloud, looking haggard with twigs and leaves in her fur. At least she's finally asleep..., he thought to himself, resting his head on his paws for another moment.
Dawnwind awoke at the sudden movement of Ashpelt. She blinked, forgetting where she had slept last night, then nudged Ashpelt with her nose, wondering the same as the medicine cat.
Sunkit poked her head out of Flowerheart's fur, noticing the spot where her brother had been was now empty. She panicked slightly, then breathed a sigh of relief when she saw his shape sitting at the nursery entrance.
