DesertClan (Roleplay)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → DesertClan (Roleplay)Feathercloud remained dead to the world, curled in a tight ball around herself, tail tucked over her nose. There were lots of leaves and twigs sticking out of her fur, as she'd completely given up and gone straight to the warriors den. She'd get them out later, but for now she was content to sleep.
Ashpelt looked over, and flicked his good ear. He then sighed "j-just a nightmare" he meowed quietly, and licked a paw drawing it over his ear.
Bramblekit glanced over his shoulder, and saw Sunkit. He took one look at the camp clearing and went back to his sister. "Don't worry I'm here" he mewed calmly, and noticed the panic in his sister's eyes.
Duskwind yawned, and stood up to stretch. He padded over to Feathercloud and began grooming the twigs and burrs out of her fur.
Dawnpelt looked worried. " I'm sure a restful night wasn't likely after what happened, " she mewed. Dawnpelt groomed Ashpelt lightly, " Do you want to talk about it?," she asked.
Sunkit curled her tail around her body. " Come back to sleep, it's cold out there, " she mewled.
Greenbush looked at the two and purred in amusement, returning to sorting herbs, though his ears were pricked slightly.
Feathercloud yawned and blinked, glancing at Duskwind. "Whattimeevenisit?" She groaned, immediately burying her face in her paws. I should have slept.
Ashpelt glanced at Dawnpelt, and shook his head slightly. He then sighed, and decided it'd be better to tell her about it. "I-it started off near turtle rock. I was out hunting with an older version of Sunkit, and Bramblekit when clouds began to cover the sky." He sighed, and glanced at a feather nearby. "The clouds covered the sun causing darkness to cover our territory. Thinking it was going to rain we went back towards camp, only to see the rogues had attacked again." He shuttered and drew his ears back. "You were missing, Flamestar lost his last life, and the clan was just...gone" he whispered. "I turned to our kits, and the vanished to...I turned around and followed their scents, only to find more rogues. I went to help them, but Sandfeather attacked me, and I lost" he sighed, and finished explaining the nightmare. He then looked down and shook his fur out once more.
Bramblekit nodded, he wasn't to tired anymore, but he didn't feel like leaving the nursery yet. He then went over to Sunkit, and sat next to her. Flowerheart was fast asleep curled around Sunkit, and Bramblekit as she slept.
Duskwind groomed the last of the burrs out of Feathercloud's fur, adding them to his small pile of debris. " Yeah, Pineclan left 4 warriors with us to 'help restore our clan', as Icestar put it, " he said, while cleaning his own paw. " I guess they're going to help with repairs and patrols and stuff?," Duskwind was curious to see how things would work out.
Tigerstripe walked back into the medicine den carrying a plump squirrel. She dropped it in front of Ashpelt. "Eat" she ordered evenly and flicked her tail to the squirrel.
Dawnpelt smiled as Tigerstripe commanded Ashpelt. She got to her paws, and stretched slightly. " I'm going to send out a patrol, " she mewed, and padded out of the medicine cat's den. She walked into the center of camp, thinking about who she could send. Definitely Stonetail and Shadowpelt, she thought as she pondered. Her ears flicked as she saw Duskwind padding to the freshkill pile, picking out a few birds. " Duskwind," She mewed, catching his attention. " You, Stonetail, Shadowpelt, and Hawkpool will go on first patrol today, " She meowed. Duskwind nodded, and walked back to the warriors' den.
Mudfeather walked back into camp carrying a rabbit in her jaws. She placed the rabbit on the pile, and looked around the camp. Hawkpool padded out of the elder's den, and stretched. She looked over to Dawnpelt and nodded to show she heard.
Duskwind entered the warrior's den, placing one of the birds he collected near Feathercloud. He sat down near the entrance of the den and worked on his meal.
Mudfesther nodded "of course I'll get Lilystream to help me" she said kindly. "After all she had a deep cut on her tail so apprentice work might help her not go stir crazy" she meowed kindly.
Feathercloud sniffed the bird and yawned, knowing full well she'd have to get up sooner or later. Oh well, at least I'm awake. She sighed and stood, stretching, before carrying the bird out and sitting down outside in the sun.
Dawnpelt nodded, " Feel free to put some of these Pineclan warriors to work as well. They're here to help, anyway, " she suggested. Dawnpelt's muzzle itched and she pawed at the cobwebs that were loosely attached at this point. " It appears that the nursery needs the most work. Maybe there's a way we can reinforce it from future attacks?," She pondered.
Duskwind watched Feathercloud exit the den as he swallowed his last pieces of the fresh-kill. " Stonetail, Shadowpelt, get up, we're patrolling, " he meowed. Duskwind cleaned his paws and face before walking out to the center of the camp as well, standing near Hawkpool. " Ready to see our borders?, " he mewed.
Hawkpool nodded, and looked over to the DesertClan warriors. She got to her paws and stretched. "I've seen Turtle rock, but that's a given" she meowed gently.
Mudfeather nodded, and curled her tail around her paws. "I could move some rocks over the hole in the nursery it'll keep the cold out and make it harder for the rogues to break in again" she suggested. "Also stop scratching your muzzle, or I'll get Tigerstripe out here" she purred jokingly.
" Well, we don't have anything else as cool as turtle rock, unfortunately. It's all twigs and stones, " Duskwind said smirking. He looked over as Stonetail and Shadowpelt emerged from the warriors den, approaching his side. " Alright, let's go to the desert border and start from there, " he suggested to the others and padeded out of the bramble tunnel.
Dawnpelt eyed Mudfeather, chuckling, " You young warriors are so authoritative," she mewed. " If you need any assistance, find me. I won't be leaving camp much today, " she said, as she padded off towards the leader den. She padded up the tall rock, and sat by the entrance, listening to hear if Flamestar was awake yet.
Hawkpool nodded, and followed the Warriors out of camp.
Mudfeather nodded, and went to work on the nursery once more. Flamestar looked up from his fresh kill and meowed "come in" when he heard Dawnpelt.
