Septen looked at his cage before sitting. Another illusion. Far too powerful for him to escape. He knew however that everyone else saw him sitting normally. "See what I mean? Forgive me but I could say we've been kidnapped. In the kingdom you can't support powered people without going to jail. In the Quill Society so based on equality you can't have opinion without being imprisoned."

Noemi froze thinking. Could what he say be true? It couldn't. Could it? No. Right? In some ways he was right, but in other opinions he was far too radical.

"You arent wrong, not by any means." Nikephoros conceded, retracting his hand and holding it to himself. "I guess, I guess I just want this to be better." He sighed, seeming almost like a kicked puppy. "I dont see why we should be rounded up, and caught, and imprisoned, and executed. But even here, we were rounded up, and caught, just two more steps."

"I do appreciate them saving us, dont get me wrong, but we could have been given the option to leave? They just took us straight here." Nikephoros said. "You doing ok? You seem to be stammering quite a bit." He sounded concerned, his power leaking into his voice unintentionally trying to calm Noemi down.

"I am glad they saved us too. That being said they say we can leave and as I plan to leave I am now in a cage."

"They must need us for something." Nikephoros pondered, rolling up his sleeves and pulling a few trinkets out of his pack, a few gears and a spring that seem to have been pulled out of a clock. His marks stood out against his darker skin, which is why he normally wore longer sleeves. He felt safe to have them in the open amongst other powered folk.

"Well they said to over throw the current leaders but I wonder if that is right. They say we are violent and a threat to the kingdom and we want to prove that wrong. So how do they want us to do that? By over throwing the leaders and becoming the leaders ourselves." Septen sighed.

Or perhaps not, I'm being a little dreary, its been a long day." Nikephoros mused, fitting the gears together in his hands and spinning them, only for the smaller one to get snagged on an imperfection in the two and the whole thing locking up still. "Regardless, we've not seen much from them yet, I believe it would be in everyones best interest if we all stay together." Nikephoros sighed, sounding drained. He always got tired easily, he assumed it was because his powers were always going, he never figured out how to shut them off, or make them stop, or even operate to a lesser extent.

Nikephoros yawned, sitting down and pulling his knees to his chest. "If the time calls for it, and I agree with you, then I'll leave with you." He said, curling into himself a little, seeming small. It was nice, he often felt so big, like he was taking up a lot of space, almost too much space. He liked to curl up into himself. "You never told me your name." Nikephoros half mumbled.

"Oh...I...it's...Noemi." Noemi as she went to a corner nearby to rest in as she looked at the nearby area. Gosh, it was easily one of the most frightening places she had ever been too.

"Cool..." Asriel breathes, his eyes eyes glinting with more flecks of gold than usual. Could he make himself do that? Could he manipulate shadows like she can? He blinks the dangerous, yet beautiful, color out of his eyes. Don't do anything you'll regret, Lightwood. He chides himself, inwardly flinching at the accidental use of his last name. You'll only end up needing another nap. Or, you could die. He pushes that unpleasant thought away. Or, you know... stop thinking, Asriel.

The creatures sensed Asriel's negative thoughts and a few crept over to him to investigate. Ariana noticed this "They can sense negative thoughts and feed off of it." She explains.

"They can... oh my stars, really?" Asriel asks, moving to take a step back and stopping with is right foot behind him. Not my thoughts, not my thoughts... come on, Lightwood, you're not scared of a few shadows, right? Pull it together, dammit, there's nothing secret in your head. Besides, they're not actually reading thoughts, just emotions.

One Shadow was behind him and put its clawed hands on Asriel's shoulders. Ariana snapped her fingers, making everything go back to normal. "I apologize in advance, but you need to keep your bloody emotions under control." she said calmly "It's not my bloody fault they went after you, it's your's."

Nova smiled. "Thank you, Ariana. Now get some rest. There's a big day ahead tomorrow." Nova smiled and exited. She looked at Septen in his cage, then took down the illusion. "If you want to go, go. But know this. We will not extend our hand to save you again."

Ariana sighed with relief thank god!.I thought they would have been scared of it like everyone else. she thought. She snapped her fingers and the puppy appeared in her arms.
