The three had merely chatted on the airship together earlier, and
had gotten off together while talking. Oliver looked up at the
announcement, and glanced at the other two, who seemed quite
unfazed by it. He gave a nervous smile. "Let's go, I suppose."
Maria glanced at him with a nod. Malone shrugged and nodded. They
slipped to the main hall, and Oliver reflexively grasped Maria's
hand. She glanced down with a soft smile and squeezed his hand.
Oliver smiled. He adjusted the backpack on his back, smiling at the
ground a bit.
Lea looked up at the announcement. "Alright. Maybe I'll meet
someone new there," She mumbled, dragging her stuff to the main
hall. She jumped at the explosion that she thought she heard behind
her, but kept walking.
Ace looked around at all the people. A group of three girls were
over near him, so he snuck off whilst Moyra was looking around. As
she made his way casually over to them, he started to think.
Don't use a line. Last time you tried that you got hit in the
face. Just go over, compliment them and preform a little trick and
switch with Ra. Perfect! he smirked, having a plan payed out in
his head.
Oliver had began to talk with Maria and Malone softly,
smiling. He glanced to see s cute boy padding towards them, and he
whispered, "Boy, 8 o clock." Maria looked up to see Ace and
smirked. "This'll be fun." Malone snickered. "Guess we're already
attracting boys..." She giggled, making the other laugh softly.
Oliver snorted, before covering his mouth. The two girls laughed
harder after that. After a moment, they calmed down, still smiling
a bit.
"Ladies! I must say, if this is what the future of huntresses look
like, I think that it will be in very good hands! My name is Ace
Spaid. It is my honour to make your acquaintances." Ace bowed, and
kissed each of the there's hands.
At the word 'ladies', Malone gave Oliver a glance. But he
was still smiling politely at the boy. He flushed as his hand was
kissed, not quite used to such a gesture. Maline seemed almost
disgusted, being that boys were not her thing. Maria huffed, and
rolled her eyes. "It's nice to meet you, mister Ace," Oliver said
kindly, smiling, "I'm Oliver, this is Malone and this is Maria." He
said, pointing at the proper girl when he said their name. Malone
had a soft grin, almost excited to see Ace's reaction to Oliver
being a boy.
Ace flushed red at the fact that the middle girl was, in fact a
boy, but then remembered that one of his friends back home, Oak
Lee, was non-binary, so if a boy wanted to dress like a girl, that
was fine! "Well, that explains the nose! You know men's noses are
usually slightly bigger then girls, not that I'm trying to diss!"
Ace laughed. He quickly pulled a pack of cards out of his coat
pocket and began to shuffle them and play with them, balancing one
on the edge of his knuckle. "How would you three like to see a bit
of magic?" He asked, his eyes lighting up.
