"Are we starting now?" Dahlia whispers to Alaska

"Possibly?"

The grey haired man, the headmaster, Professor Ozpin, walked to centre stage underneath a blinding spotlight.
"I'll...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge--to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose – direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step."
He finished his speech with a small round of applause and Professor Goodwitch took his place. "You will all gather in the main hall for tonight. Rest up, as initiation starts tomorrow. I bid you all goodnight." She said, then the lights flared back into existence.

Moyra sighed and place down her bags on the floor next to her, starting to unpack the emergency sleeping bag.

Hallen smiled. "So I guess it's like one big slumber party!"

Phia baisically folded inwards. She didn't want to sleep here!

Ace bowed again and walked away from the trio to find a place to set up camp in the hall.

"We need ghost stories. Every sleepover needs ghost stories," Alaska blurts out, as she rolls out a sleeping bag.

Dahlia frowns, "Please, no. That's childish. You don't actually believe them, do you?"

After the speech, Oliver glanced at the two girls. "This is going to be awesome!" He said excitedly. Maria laughed and nodded. Malone smiled with a soft nod. "Hey, Watson." Maria said, looked at Malone. Malone glanced up at her. "Where do you wanna go? You haven't talked too much." Malone shrugged. "Maybe a nice corner?" She said. Oliver nodded. The girls scampered to a corner, leaving Oliver behind. He glanced around for a moment.

"Great," Dahlia butts in, "That mean's we'll actually be able to sleep."

Alaska sent her, probably her 10th glare today, followed by a whack with a pillow, "Why do you have to be such a spoil sport!"

Ally collapsed onto her sleeping bag, shoving the pillow over her face.

Ace looked around for a place to bed down for the night, but sees Oliver standing in his own. "Hey.. you wanna camp out next to me?" He asked, smiling slightly.


Moyra looked over at Lea. "Wanna camp out here?"

Oliver looked at Ace, and smiled. "Oh, sure! I'm sure the girls shouldn't mind..." He said with a little smile, gazing up at Ace. He clutched his hands together, shifting a bit on his little feet.

Maria and Malone sat down after laying out their sleeping bags. Malone saw Ace and Oliver, and smiled. Maria sat up to get him, but Malone grabbed her arm. "Let him bond with others." She hummed.

"Anyway, I'm Ace by the by. I don't think we've properly been introduced." Ace said, shaking out his sleeping bag.

Moyra ran back in from the girl's bathroom, fully changed in a pale blue pj set with a crescent moon motif. She snuggled into her sleeping bag and sighed contentedly at the warm.
Phia soon followed after her, dressed in a mutch looser nightdress and with her long brown hair down.
Hallen just folded her wings and lay down in her current clothes, not bothering to change.

Oliver giggled lightly. "You introduced yourself before the trick, Ace. But I suppose it's nice to meet you again." He said, pulling out his sleeping bag. He fluffed up his sleeping bag, holding it close. "So, do you wanna just sleep here or find somewhere else?" He asked, voice soft and kind.
