Jake was exhausted. He had used his reserves for the day. Needed time to heal his spirit. But he isn't going to let the new people have all the fun. He summoned up giant stone hands and grabbed the monster to hold it in place.
"Whatever you're gonna do, do it now!" Jake ordered.
The monster looked calm. Happy even. Something is not right, Jake thought. If all of these meteors held a monster, then we could be in trouble.
(hence why there is a spirit possessing people with power. I'll explain that part later.)

Mystique swirled the spears into a jet and shot it right in the face of the monster. Lauren dashed out of hiding and swung the arm that was producing smoke. She shot fire from it, but it was black. It swirled like a ring around the monster, darting in to try and burn it sometimes. Lauren used her other hand to summon several jets of flame. She was becoming exhausted herself, especially after earlier's fiasco.

Cam pushed herself back up, shaking slightly. She remained towards the back, wanting to help, but at the same time not really wanting to. She shook her head, attempting to clear her thoughts. The sphere hovered above her shoulder, floating in front of her and around her a few times. In the less hazy part of her mind, she noticed Lauren summoning fire at the monster. She held up her hand, though it was still shaking. When nothing appeared, she groaned in frustration. The sphere didn't vanish, floating over her shoulder.

The monster smiled. And then broke free of the stone hands. The fire and water didn't even seem to faze it. Jake clenched his fists. He summoned up a piece of metal from the earth. It turned out to be a sword. He rushed the monster, did a baseball slide, cutting one of its legs. He then got back up, now behind it, and stabbed it in its back.
The monster fell to its knees. Jake pulled the sword out of it and then stabbed it through the neck.
The monster fell down. Not moving.
"Lesson number three." Jake said. "There are some enemies, like this one, who are resistant to any and all Elemental attacks. This one in particular seems to be completely invulnerable to elements. When you find enemies like this, they are the most dangerous."
He then turned to Mystique and Lauren. "Whereas for whatever controlled you two during our training. You'll have to tell me about it. But first we have to save as much citizens as possible. You two together."
He looked at Cam, then seen a new person. He could sense that other person had two elements. "You two together. And I'll go alone in search of taking out their commanders and leaders."

Hadrian had fallen asleep while watching the monster fight. He woke up and yawned before standing up and starting to walk off. He grinned as he thought of what he could do.

"Cam if fine." Cam called, yawning widely and stumbling to her feet. "She's tired and wants a nap, but she's fine." She grumbled quietly to herself. "Also the sphere is ready." She gestured towards the floating fire sphere. She shrugged blankly, knowing it might be weird to walk around with a floating sphere of flames. But whatever.

"cam and Hadrian. Evac as much people as you can. Mystique and Lauren. Try and keep the monster from getting to the citizens. You all have your jobs. Let's go!"
Jake ran and got into his car and drove off. He looked for one of the monsters that were bigger than the rest. Their leader, or champion. Then he saw it. One of them was about as big as a two story building. He cursed to himself. "Guess I have to use more of my reserves." He said.
He got out of the car and tapped into his soul. He grew to be as tall as the monster, as a stone giant. Jake punched the monster in its face and it crashed down onto an intersection.

"Right. Sure, okay." Cam continued her spree of soft complaining before turning to Hadrian. "I guess we're- Oh. Okay, sure." She watched him walk away and sighed. She glanced at the sphere floating around her. "If you aren't gonna go away, I'm gonna call you Sun." She decided. She picked a path and began heading down it.

Jake kept fighting the giant monster. He ripped a sign from the ground and impaled the monster with it

"Whatever" He said when he heard he had a partner, He started to float and floated past Cam. He had figured out he could do this since he chose the air element. He started to go faster as well.

"Got it!" Lauren called, dashing behind the monster. She glanced in the direction of where the citizens lived. "Catch me if you can!" Since the woman was behind the monster's injured leg, she kicked it and then shot a ball of flame at it. She dodged away from a bad kick and ran in front of it. "You gotta be faster than that, sweaty!"

Lauren grabbed Mystique's arm and pulled him back. "You can't catch us!" Mystique taunted, running forward to throw water at his face.

"you Elementists are all the same." The monster said.
Jake pummeled its face.
"You think just because you seen the death of one universe, you can just avoid it? My species are way worse than you can ever imagine."
"I've heard that before." Jake said. "And you know what happened? I killed their leader. He thought he was immortal. I proved him wrong." Jake's stony hand transformed into a stone blade and he cut the head off of the monster.
He went back to his human form. More drained of his powers than ever. He tried to move, but couldn't. He looked down and seen the lower half of his body was invaded in stone. He tried to will it back to normal but couldn't.
"Figures." He said to himself. "Used up too much of my reserves."

Cam yawned, walking slowly, relaxed. Her mood had lifted considerably since she'd begun walking. There weren't any people or towns around (that she could notice anyway), and she was growing bored. The sphere, Sun as she'd decided to name it, remained floating above her shoulder. "I wonder if there's even anyone around?" She muttered, reaching back and pulling her hair into a ponytail.

Jake noticed monsters grouping up around some people. He can't just let them die.
Her an as fast as he could. He felt the stone break away from his legs as he did so. He brought out his sword and started slashing all of the monsters.

Cam stopped walking, sighing. "There's nothing this way." She said. "I'm gonna turn around and head back. I think I saw another path." She yawned, stretching and walking back the way they'd come. She tucked her hands into her sweatshirt pockets, trooping back down the path.

Cam leapt back with a startled screech. "Oh my gosh," She wheezed. "Warn me when you jump at me!" Her right hand lit up, and the fire created a bright sword. "Giving me a heart attack! And I'm tired, too! Can't you wait until we've all rested?!" She dove forward, sliding under the monsters legs, and stood back up, thrusting the sword into its back. "Cheap move, I know. Sorry!" She pulled it back out and was moving to attack again when it's arm smacked into her. She sprawled out on the ground, groaning in annoyance.

"Okay.." Cam leapt back up, ignoring the sharp pain in her leg. "I'm gonna shove this sword into your face." She snarled, diving forward. She cut one of its legs off, watching it collapse to the ground. "There we go." She hummed proudly, walking forward and slicing through one of its arms. The sword got stuck and she swore, annoyance giving her the strength to make a new one and began sawing its head off. "Stupid monsters."

The monster pulled the fire sword out and ate it. "Hm. Spicy."
Meanwhile with Jake. He kept hacking and slashing all the monsters. He was heavily breathing. He saved those people.

"Did you jUST EAT MY SWORD?" Cam screeched, pulling herself back. "Who DOES THAT?!" She hopped back a few feet. "I've had this element for what? A day? Are you kiddingly me? Fine!" She held up her right hand. The sphere that had been floating around flashed, seemingly transforming into a bright scythe. "Sweet. Better than a sword. Cooler too." She grinned, lunging forward. "And this time, don't eat my weapon." She raised the scythe, bringing it down with a sickening crunch through the monsters neck. "Jerk." She muttered, exhaustion returning in a rush.
