Cam just stared. "Oh that is so cold man." She said flatly. "Let's turn up the heat a bit, shall we!" Her entire body exploded into flames and she yelped, yanking herself free of the hand and burning the tree badly as she leapt away. She fell to her knees, coughing out smoke. "Stupid trees." She muttered, pushing herself back up so she was facing Jake again. "Let's do this, Fire!" She told the element, even though she knew it probably wouldn't respond.

"if you tell at your element it isn't going to respond a lot of times." Jake said. Then he had a thought. "Oh, forgot to mention one small thing. Make sure you don't use up all of your powers. This is vital for your life."

The Fire negan to glow brighter for a moment and then Cam closed her eyes. It dissipated and she opened her eyes, crossing her arms. "Whadya mean, this is vital for your life?" She thought for a few seconds. "The Fire and I are getting along just fine, aren't we?" She created a small flame in her hand and then closed her hand. It vanished and she smiled faintly.

"what I mean is that if you use too much, it can turn out to be like when you go for an element. Wether it rejects your body or not. Except this is way worse. If you use too much, you enter the reserves stage. That basically means that you are using your very soul to keep the power coming. And if you use your reserves up. Your soul will dissipate and be no more." Jake let that run through their minds. "It is only to be used as a last resort. It is the most powerful an Elementist can become. Just so you know what it's like to fight a stronger enemy and know the dangers of using reserves, I will use some of mine."
Green aura from the earth started to pour into Jake. "You have one goal. Defend, until I stop using my reserves."

Mystique had by now gotten behind Jake. Lauren was watching intently, curious as to whether or not she join the fight. There was already one Fire elemental, so would she dare risk it? What if the whole place went up in flames because she joined. She got up and squeaked in surprise as Mystique used the water sphere to try and keep the team defended.

Lauren dashed over and attempted to use her fire. Nothing happened. "Really?" she asked quietly. "Now of all- Eek!" She had suddenly created a flame the size of the sphere which was now floating around Cam. It was most likely going to try and help the other Fire elemental. Congrats, you played yourself, Lauren Amiya.

She created another sphere of fire, this time shaping it into a staff. She twirled the staff and it created fire which shot toward Jake. Mystique summoned more ice spears. The fire and water-ice circled the Earth elemental.

Jake let dirt and mud spray everywhere. "If you can't beat em, then you gotta go on the defensive." He said. He made plants grow all around the three of them, entrapping all of them easily. He then summoned up something metal from the earth, when it popped up, it was a shield, old and rusty.
Jake didn't stop there. He then disappeared into the ground as if was quicksand and he waited.

(so basically, to gain an element. A person must survive gaining it. If you don't, element rejects you, you die. Jake has Earth. Mystique, Water. And Cam and Lauren have fire. We are now at the part where Jake is training them in how to be an Elementist. Now is the part where Jake is teaching them about the dangers of using your powers too much, reserves. In which case you use your soul on reserves and when you run out of that, your soul is basically being destroyed. So Jake is showing some of the reserves power as of now. Reserves is basically the strongest the Elementist can be as a last resort kind of thing.)

Cam yelped upon noticing the Fire Sphere floating around her. She shrugged it off, allowing it to remain around her. She held up her right hand. A sword made of fire appeared, glowing intensely. "Sweet, I've always wanted to try sword fighting." She said, treading around the area lightly. From her other hand, she attempted to make a shield. It failed, the fire instead flowing towards the other Fire Elemental. "Figures," she muttered. "There's your return present!"

Jake reappeared and sent rock shards their way. Time for them to see. He then used his reserves and turned into a massive stone giant. The fire didn't even seem to effect it at all. It then made stone hands shoot out and keep them all confined. He stopped and turned back to human form. Jake fell down to his knees. "Dang that was a workout." He said panting

Cam groaned. "I hate this." She muttered, struggling before falling still. The Fire sphere let out an odd sizzling sound and vanished. "Betrayal." She sighed, wriggling around. "Cam you let us go?" She asked.

Mystique, who did get trapped by the plants, had cut himself free with the pocket knife he held close. He ran over to Lauren and whispered something to her. She nodded and the two created spheres of their elements. Lauren moved her fire close to Mystique's water sphere and then they shot the spheres as beams at Jake. "Let's hope this works," Lauren and Mystique said at the same time.

Hadrian smirked watching Jake and Cam. He expected a challenge. He had chosen Air, He wondered what he could do. He thought and a ball of clouds appeared in his hand. He tossed it around and looked at the ground. "This is boring" he says

Cam carefully melted an opening in the rocks and squeezed out, sitting down and crossing her legs. She held up one hand, creating a sphere of flames. It floated above her head and remained there. She yawned, covering her mouth.

Jake dodged the spheres. He glared at the two. "So you were gonna hit someone while they were down, huh!" He walked over to them. "I'm training people who are noble. Ready to save the universe! Not people trying to make a statement! If you want an actual fight, you will be sorry that you pissed me off. The point of this excersise was to show you what happens when someone uses their reserves." He brought up his hand, which slowly turned to stone. "This is what happens. And there is a big possibility that I could have died during this excersise!"
Jake punched Mystique in the face. "Never! Try something like that again!"

Lauren yelped as he was punched. "We reacted late! If you don't want us to try, then we'll leave! C'mon Mystique, we're leaving." She helped the slightly younger male up and stomped off. Mystique glared at Jake. He stalked off with Lauren.

"We made a mistake, you don't do that to people who make mistakes," Mystique spat. He shot another water sphere, this time much larger. It was obvious Mystique was exhausted, so why did he keep pushing himself like this? Lauren appeared to notice, but she kept walking. Mystique noticed her hand go up in flames. "Wh- Ack!"

Lauren shot several jets of fire from her hand, aimed at the two males. She had made contact with Mystique's sleeve, but he easily put out the flame before it got bad. "What's wrong with you?"

Lauren giggled, sounding a bit crazy. "Did you think I was actually Lauren? I'm not." The girl snapped her fingers and Lauren collapsed, and some black smoke emerged from her body. "Oh, I should cleanse you as well. You were boring to control."

Mystique shook his head, as if he suddenly focused. He had some memory of what happened, but seemed so confused. "What... What was that? Lauren, what-" He saw the young woman clutching her face. Black smoke poured out of her hand, which she attempted to contain.

((Dunno if this is okay but I've got a plan))

Jake cursed to himself. He has seen this before. It was done to him before. In the other universe. "Did it feel like a voice in your head? Telling you what to do?" Just then, an explosion happened a few miles away. Jake looked at the location where it was and then seen meteorites falling from the sky. And one was heading right towards them.
"Everyone down! By me!" He ordered. He made a giant shield made of rock, steel, and plants. The meteorite let out an explosion as it landed. But then something fell off from the shield.
It was a body. It got up and Jake could see every detail. It was a monster, standing at seven feet tall. Horns on its head. Built more than the most built human in history. A permanent snarl was on its face. It's eyes glinted blood red. Hands were big and beefy with claws included.
"Okay, Mystique, you wanna kill something? Let's all try and kill this."
The monster smirked. "Puny Elementists. Your powers don't work on my kind. I eat your kind for breakfast."
(I see where your going. I had a similar plan, but we can mix it together.)

Lauren kept her distance to keep the smoke from possibly contaminating the others. That didn't mean she wasn't ready to keep safe. Mystique was standing by Jake, holding a frozen hand to his face to stop the pain. "Let's destroy this thing," he said calmly. He flung his arm forward, letting the ice shatter. He lifted it, letting it melt quickly. "Wanna boil this for me?" Lauren nodded, using her open hand to shoot a jet of flame at the water. Now that the water was hot, Mystique had a plan.
