"Oh," Cam hesitated. "Do you know anyone who's done any of the other ones?" She hesitated again. "I'm up for it. It's either this or go home and do nothing anyways." She grinned weakly, eyes flicking towards the caves.

Oliver was curled up on the ground, fast asleep. Maria was slowly waking up, and she rubbed her eye. She glanced around, and noticed Oliver next to her. She ran a hand through his hair slowly, before looking up at the other two. Maria's eyes narrowed, and she looked back at the little boy lying next to her. She smiled lightly, running her hand through his hair again, feeling the curls bounce with every movement of her hand.

"Oh, I get a choice?" Cam frowned, hands remaining in her pockets. "Uh. I think Fire is pretty cool?" She offered. She didn't seem to notice that Jake had even mentioned another universe. She blinked multiple times, gaze flicking between the caves, Jake, and the two others. Her green eyes glimmered as she looked away from everyone.

"Something is gonna go wrong." Cam muttered, pulling her hands from her pockets and pulling a hair tie from around her wrist. She used it to tie her hair up in a messy ponytail. She hesitated before freezing and pulling her sweatshirt tighter around herself. She stepped forward nervously and (before she could lose her nerve, she knew she would) dove into the Fire cave.

It was really hot in the Fire Caves. As Cam stumbled in, she became vaguely aware of the smell of smoke. She coughed and waved her hand to clear the smoke in front of her.

Cam pushed on, steps becoming more certain as she made her way towards the center. That was when the caves decided "ive had enough of her, lets kill her" and began to spout fire around where she stood.

She let out a muffled stream of swears as she leapt out of the way, grabbing a ledge to haul herself a bit higher. "Is this, like, the universes way of telling me I need to get out more often?" She growled, pushing herself off the wall and rolling out of the way of another blast of fire. She stumbled to her feet, dashing forward, occasionally coughing and (it felt like every three seconds to her) jumping, hopping and rolling out of the way of fire and lava. The heat was getting unbearable. "I hate heat." She muttered, trying and failing to dodge another flame spout. She yelped, diving out of the way of another and hissed, touching her burnt leg before diving for the sphere. She was cut off by a wall of fire that formed around the sphere. With a growl of frustration she stepped back, allowing the wall to vanish, before pushing off harder and barely grazing the orb. The flames stopped and she collapsed to the ground with a small "ow' and several burns on her arms and legs.

"Woooo." Cam groaned, struggling to her feet. "That is something I absolutely don't want to do every again." She coughed, making out the entrance and stumbling out, coughing to release the smoke from her lungs. "I need to get out more." She muttered, squinting at the bright sunlight that greeted her. She made her way back towards Jake.

Cam collapsed onto the ground and pulled her hair out of the ponytail. "Does this make us partners in crime or something?" She muttered, and glanced at the other two. She blinked, eyes flashing with something along the lines of interest.

"Huh," Cam hummed, placing her hands in her lap as she glanced around the area. She hadn't actually gotten a good look at the place before she had doven into the caves. She stayed quiet now, occasionally glancing at the three people around her.

Lauren and Mystique waited for their turn. The two lovers were chatting as if they were normal. But anyone who knew them closely would know this was their secret flirting. Shameful no one knows them closely. "So, what'll you be expecting to be after?" Lauren asked.

"Water is likely. And you?"

"Considering my blazing roasts, fire."

"You're not that cool."

"That's not what you said yesterday."

"Sitting on a sofa half asleep does not count."
