Sam finished her meal, and glanced at Lan. She yawned, and looked
around the restaurant "so what is am exploration team anyway?" She
asked Lan quietly. She hoped no other Pokemon head her in case it
was an odd question.
(the Cyndaquil and totodile whip their heads around XD)
Lan ate a piece of his mushrooms, and began talking. "Well, its a
group of pokemon, usually two to six, who dedicate themselves to
helping others and, well, exploring. The most accurate maps of the
world are made by exploration teams, who have dedicated their lives
to discovering and recording new and unknown territories. However,
Rick and I are more commonly known as a rescue team, a group of
pokemon who mostly help others with multiple deeds. Whether that's
finding a lost pokemon, capturing or subduing criminal or
aggressive pokemon, or, recovering lost treasure or item. It's a
job, and a way of life. Some bigger town and cities have guilds who
sponsor explorer and rescue teams, giving them food and board as
they wish, as long as the guild gets a cut of the team's profits.
(XD yeah considering they're my team in the actual games. Also
gonna go for the night)
Sam nodded slowly "so you and Rick go out and help others. That
explains why you returned that bell" she said in a moment of
realization. She then face pawed. "That makes total sense..." She
sighed, and looked a bit embarrassed it took her so long to think
of that.
Lan led Sam out of the square into a neighborhood branching off the
main path. It wasn't a fancy neighborhood, but want a poor one,
just mediocre. The houses were all egg-shaped in an odd way, with
circular windows on the front. Lan led Sam down a few roads, until
they came across a house that looked just like all the others,
except for faint markings on the walls, which most likely made an
image before it had faded due to weather.
Lan shrugged. "Ehh, its not that great, to be honest," he said,
"Well, lemme just get my keys, and..."
Rick was sitting on one of the beds in his room, the guest bedroom,
drawing on paper when he heard Lan open the door. Rick set his
paper down and looked out into the main room. "Oh- youre here," he
said.
"Uh, hi," Rick said, "How was the rest of your dinner?" Meanwhile,
Lan waltzed in, and went to his room to get the extra mattress. In
these houses, there were two bedrooms, a "master" bedroom, with two
beds, and the guest bedroom, with only one. Since only Lan and Rick
lived here, they just got their own separate rooms. Lan's room was
the master's, so it had the spare mattress in it.
(bleh im dead)
Rick tossed his pencil back into his room. "So- the kitchen's over
there..." he said, pointing at the small kitchen, with an island
separating it from the living room. "We don't have much, but
there's some berries in there if you need something. And, uh- we
have the living room, which we really don't use much, and there's
our bedrooms..." he looked around, a little uncomfortable about
having to introduce everything. He hadn't really lived here for
long either. "That's ittttttt..."
Sam nodded, and looked around the small house "so uh where am I
going to sleep? I don't want to be to much of a bother" she said
quietly. She was beginning to feel guilty about tagging along with
these two pokemon.
"Well, there's the living room, and my room, really..." Rick said.
He paused, before realizing what could've been implied "I- I mean
not while Im in it of course!!" he said, sweat trickling down his
face, "Ill be sleeping on the extra mattress in Lan's room or
something like that..."
Sam flicked an ear, "alright thanks" she said with a nod. She
ignored the awkward moment that he had, "I'm fine in the living
room...er if you don't mind" she said a bit more kindly.
