"If you managed to try and take down that idiot...then you would
possibly have fainted...he's to strong." Sam said lowly, and licked
her shoulder where the thunder bolt hit her. "Lux is almost level
50 he's to strong and he picks on the smaller, and weaker
pokemon..." Poliwag said quietly.
"Meh," Lan said, "I bet the idiot couldn't do much of anything to
me. You saw how he ran away." Rick sighed, and sat back down at the
booth. "You're insane..." he said.
Sam shrugged, and sighed. She looked at the Poliwag "what's your
name by the way" she asked kindly, and smiled. She wanted to change
the subject and forget about the Pokemon that attacked her earlier.
Rick sighed, and begrudgingly began to eat his food. He worried
about how Lan's ego might get him in a situation that wouldn't be
easily fixed, and if Rick had to fight his way through Lan's
issues... He didn't want to think about it.
"I'm Saffron, and uh thanks for helping me" the Poliwag said
timidly. He glanced at Lan, and Rick. He slightly trusted Lan,
since he was willing to help him, but Rick he was unsure of. "I...I
uh was traveling through Berry plains, and I found a bag of Oran
berries..." He continued, and pulled out the little bag from the
box he had next to him. "I know it isn't much, but please take it
as a thanks"
Before Lan could act, Rick kindly pushed the oran berries back
towards the small pokemon. "Nonononono..." He said, "We cant accept
that. Your gratitude is more than enough. Thank you." Lan seemed a
little displeased, but didn't say anything, as Rick gave Saffron a
big grin.
Saffron blinked in shock "a...are you sure" he stammered shyly
before accepting the hug. "I..I mean I want to help you some way I
can" he said of shyly.
Saffron looked like he would decline at first. He then remembered
how Lux threatened to return. "Please" he said quietly, and looked
at Rick, and Lan. "I...I'd like that" he whispered kindly.
Rick quickly gulped down the last of his pancakes, and stood up.
"Okay, ready whenever you are," he said. Lan continued to eat his
food, and motioned for Sam to stay seated. Rick could just go back
to the house on his own once he helped the poliwag get home. (also,
how's Sam's first shot at using utencils with paws? XD)
(XD I planned on her giving up trying to use them,)
Sam looked at her food, and began to try and grab the utensils.
After stumbling a bit, and failing to grip them, she leaned down,
and took a bite of her food slightly embarrassed. Littens
usually eat like this...it's fine she thought to herself
sharply. Saffron nodded, and said goodbye to Sam, and Lan. He
nodded to Rick, and lead the way to his home.
(should we RP Saffron and rick, or Sam and Lan? or both?)
Lan looked up at Sam, slightly amused. "Need a little help?" he
asked, "I guess you mustve forgotten how to use utensils when you
got amnesia, if you knew how in the first place."
Sam looked at Lan crossly. "You try using utensils with
in-opposable paws" she said slightly in an amused tone. "How would
you go about I use them?" She asked, and licked a paw to clean her
muzzle.
Lan then proceeded to show Sam how to properly use a fork and knife
with three fingers/paws, using the second and third to mostly
stabilize the utensil, and the first acting sort of like a
thumb.
Rick walked quietly behind Saffron, enjoying the cool night's
breeze. "So... where do you live?" he asked.
Sam nodded, and took the fork. She then attempted once more, after
it fell she sighed, and tried again. "I got it" she said
cheerfully.
Saffron looked over, and pointed, with his tail, to a pond further
down the path. In the center of the pond was a few water lilies
that held a clump of reeds. Just on the outside was a wooden door,
and three Pokemon were seen swimming, a little more than dots
against the cloudy sky, the three Pokemon weren't hard to make out
despite being far away. A Poliwhirl, a Politoed, and a Poliwrath.
"Over there. Though the pond can get pretty deep" he said kindly,
"but it won't be a problem to you" he smiled cheerfully, not taking
any notice to Rick's strange look, he then continued down the path.
Lan chuckled. "Yep, you did." he said, "It might take a bit getting
used to." There was a pause, and then Lan continued. "Come to think
of it, you probably wouldn't have learned how to eat like that.
Most litten live in prides, and are very... aggressive, to say the
least."
Sam tilted her head in confusion "I don't think I'd be that
aggressive toward food..." She mumbled. "Though come to think about
it...i use to share my food all the time with my friends back home"
she said in an attempt to remember something. All she could
remember was a very foggy memory that she was unsure was true or
not.
Saffron ran home. He managed to get very far along the path before
arriving at the shoreline. "We're here" he said cheerfully.
"Huh, weird," Lan said, and he continued to eat his food, not
giving it much of a second thought.
Rick quickly caught up to Saffron, and stared at the deep blue
water. "Well, I guess Ill take my leave," he said, "It was... nice,
walking out here..." Rick paused for a moment to look at the night
sky, lost in the expanse of the stars for a moment. "Well, uh, I'll
take my leave now, bye."
Saffron nodded "thank you again" he said kindly, and jumped into
the pond after a wave of the tail in farewell. He vanished into the
water, and went to his family.
Rick smiled, and gave a final wave, as he turned around and headed
to Lan's home. He figured that Sam and Lan would be back there
soon, and he needed to clean up the house a bit. Besides, a little
time alone to possibly draw and such couldn't be a bad thing.
