Finally got some pics up from the Dr Who Symphonic Orchestra, they're in the dairy/journal thingy here if you wanna check them out. I was so annoyed (at myself) when I saw the dalek pic later, didn't even notice that random person wandering into my shot, grrr.

In the words of the doc, 'Molto bene', 'fantastic', 'brilliant'!

It wasn't just music, they had the clips from the show, and the monsters and aliens wandering around (I got to shake hands with an Ood!), and Peter Davison (doc 5) was the mc. Heaps of people dressed up too, I've never seen so many fez's and extra long scarves in one place!

Next door to the theater they had an exhibition (where I took the other photos) with some DW memorabilia including a suit actually worn by David Tennant! (photo's up now.)

Hehe, there were like 6 of them in the theater at one point. They took us all hostage. One of them told the bandmaster to play 'dalek music' or he would be exterminated. This little kid from the front row of the audience had a sonic screwdriver toy and he stood up, pointed it at them, and told the daleks to 'go away and stop being meanies!' Everyone just burst out laughing, it was so funny!

I saw the dalek in the exhibition next door and thought to myself, 'right, gotta get a photo of that for Finhawk!' Apologies for the random photo bomber...lol.

And everyone refers to my bag as the 'TARDIS bag' because I fit so much stuff in it, so who knows, Finhawk, maybe you'd fit...

Stop it JustMe, just stop it. The jealousy is overcoming me. XD If I had known about the exhibition, I would have asked you to steal David Tennant's costume from the display and hide it in that TARDIS bag of yours for me...

Guess what? I started painting my sonic screwdriver (I actually started a while ago, but just a background...) and if I can get my scanner hooked up today I'll show you guys the WIP.

Here's the WIP. It's only my second ever traditional drawing. (The first was what the teacher refers to as the "dumb jar" assignment. Basically just a black and white picture of a bunch of jars.)

Ooooh, that really does look good. I really like the amount of details you have in there and I absolutely love the shading. The light/shine/whatever -effect on the middle part of the screwdriver looks marvellous. I can't wait to see the finished piece of art. :3
