Lise followed Troye into the room, a pained look on her face. Troye
had refused to wear the suit that his parents had bought for him,
and instead was just wearing the dress pants and shirt, along with
a tie fitted loosely around his neck. He looked fantastic, but not
formal in the least. She had convinced him to take off his jacket,
which she now had draped over her arm. "Wow, the Prince really is
as cute as they say." She mumbled, standing next to him. He
chuckled. "I suppose so." He said, tilting his head a bit.
((Oscar's not a servant just so y'all know. He just kinda
chills.))
"Oscar, I can't see him very well
anymore. Glasses please?" Leli held her hand out to Oscar, who
fumbled with his pockets before getting them out. "Thanks." Leli
put on her glasses and immediately her face flushed. "He's
cute."
"Kelly's got competition, I see," Oscar replied, winking.
"Kelly's way cuter, though." Oscar laughed at his friend's comment.
For a princess, she sure didn't act like it. Leli took off her
glasses and this time kept them on her. Like, attached to her
dress. She tugged at her gloves, muttering irritably. "These are
not comfy."
Oliver swallowed, and stood. The heels made him look a bit
taller, but he was still quite short. He smiled at them again,
clearing his throat. "Welcome to the palace, competitors. I'm glad
that each of you have joined, and I certainly can barely wait to
get to know each of you. Now, though, you are going to need to head
to your rooms. You should have maids and servants there, if you do
not already have some. You will have an hour to get ready for
dinner this evening, and we will certainly be able to get to know
each other better. You will get to know your fellow selected better
as well. S-So, without further ado, I will have Christopher lead
you to your room. Thank you." He said. His voice quivered a bit,
and he was worried his speech may have been too long.
Christopher, the butler, broke the silence by clearing his throat.
"Follow me." He hummed, beginning to walk through the room to
another pair of large doors. "You will get to choose your own
rooms." He added, glancing at Oliver, who was seated again and
quivering with nerves as his servants approached.
Troye had pulled out his phone and was now getting an earful from
Lise. "Okay jeez, sorry." He said, putitng it away. She sighed and
they both followed Christopher to the large doors. Troye had
discreetly pulled out his phone again and was playing a game. Lise
dragged Troye into the first room on the left and closed the door.
"Okay.... dinner...." She said, but he wasn't really paying
attention. "Dinner?... Yeah, I'm kinda hungry..." He mumbled.
Lithar bows at Oliver while Nyx drops a low curtsy before the two
follow Christopher.Lithar looks back at Nyx."I take it you plan on
helping me look nice for tonight's meal?"He asks her quietly."Yes
master."With that the two silently follow after Christopher.Once
they made it to the rooms they took the one farthest down the left
side. After they were in Nyx automatically got to work with making
Lithar presentable.
After a bit, Lise had managed to get Troye to put on a pale yellow
dress shirt, with black pants, shoes, vest, and tie. "Is this
really necessary? I wanted to wear a band shirt.." Troye said.
"Lise shook her head. "Stop being a child. Oliver is a prince, not
one of your classmates. You have to be formal." She said, running a
comb through his hair. "Whatever you say." He said.
Crimson and Amy followed Christopher.
"Um... I don't really care where we go. Do you, Amy?" Crimson
asked, looking over at Amy.
Amy shook her head. "No, not really."
Crimson nodded. "Alright then. Um.. Is it okay if we stay here?"
Crimson asked Christopher, pointing at the second room on the
right.
Christopher nodded to Crimson. "Of course." He said, giving a soft
nod to the two. He glanced at them.
Oliver was whisked off to his room with his servants, and his hair
was pulled up in a neat bun with a deep red flower in it. He sighed
as he changed into a black dress reaching his ankles and an open
strip up to his mid thigh. He placed red heels on hiss feet, and
sighed. "Why did i have to change?" He asked. His servants
shrugged. "You basically have to be in a new outfit every time you
see the selected." Maria quipped. Oliver groaned.
Crimson smiled a bit. "Oh, okay! Thanks!" She replied, grabbing
Amy's wrist and rushing into the room.
Once inside, she let go of Amy's wrist, and fell face-first onto
the floor. "I don't wanna do thiis!!" She whined.
Amy smiled, and pushed Crimson with her foot. "I know, but you
gotta get up and find something to change into for dinner."
Crimson groaned. "Do I have to?" She asked, getting up, and looking
at Amy.
"Yes, you do. Want me to help you pick an outfit out?" Amy
answered.
Crimson sighed. "Alright... If I have to...."
"Okay, come on. Let's find something for you to change into."
Lise sat on Troye's bed with a book and Troye was lying on his back
next to her, one arm over his eyes the othe holding his phone. She
checked behind her and raised an eyebrow. "You good?" She asked.
"I'm tired." He stated. "Then sleep. I'll wake you up ten minutes
before dinner." She said, going back to her book, and he gladly
fell asleep a few minutes later.
Nyx was helping Lithar tuck in his dress shirt. He had changed from
his suit into a burgundy dress shirt."Well Nyx,how do I
look?"Lithar asked with a smile."Dashing as always master."Nyx
responds quietly."Hey we are here alone in our room, you are free to
call me Lithar little sis."He says with a soft smile."Sorry
h..habit."She replies while blushing slightly."It's fine Nyx.Are
you going to change?"She shakes her head no."This dinner is only
for those that are looking for the princes's hand.I am just a
sl-servant.I'll get something to eat later."Lithar hums at
that."You better sis. You're bad about forgetting to eat when
something like this pops up."He then stands up and goes over to a
mirror in the room."Your right sis.Pulling my hair back and
dressing me in a burgundy dress shirt was a good call."
"Come on, lovebird, we have to give you some pretty feathers before
you go drool over Mr. Peacock."
Piper rolled her eyes but giggled. "You're getting better at your
analogies," she complimented.
"Thanks but no time! We have to get you fancy," Ginger brushed her
off, pulling her into a room at random. Sitting her young sister on
the bed, she rubbed her hands together. "Okay. I'm thinking
something pastel tonight, to accentuate your hair. We saw Oliver in
lavender earlier, so best not to go with the same color. I'm
thinking...orange. A pastel orange. We can do a sort of tropical
look!" Ginger raced to the closet and pulled out a floaty, simple
pastel orange dress, beginning with a tangerine at the top and
moving in a gradient to a light pink.
The ankle-length dress flowed beautifully and flared when she
twirled. Piper squealed happily as she turned in a circle, the
dress sparkling like a chandelier. Ginger brought her strawberry
blonde hair into a romantic tuck on the back of her head, leaving a
few strands loose. Adorning her hair with small white flowers,
slipping on golden ballet flats, and giving her a ring featuring an
aquamarine flower, she completed the look.
"Wow!" Piper breathed excitedly. "I look awesome!"
Oscar and Leli had followed the group
and had gotten a shared room together. Oscar chose to sleep on the
floor, despite Leli's protests. Oscar was now chatting with his
close friend, who had some sassy remark in response to everything.
At this point, Leli was now hiding in the closet changing into
something more suitable for dinner.
She came out minutes later with a red dress with white frilly
decorations all over. (See Maria Reynolds dress from Hamilton).
Oscar changed next. He changed his red jacket for a black one with
silver lacing. He still had the white undershirt and dress
pants.
"Okay, any specific outfit in mind?" Amy asked.
Crimson shrugged. "I don't really care... Um... Maybe something
yellow?"
Amy nodded, and grabbed a light yellow short-sleeved dress, that
faded into a darker shade of yellow at the bottom. "How about this
one?"
Crimson nodded. "Uh, sure. Do you know where the one hairband that
I like is? I know I had it with me..."
Amy handed Crimson the dress, and grabbed a hairband that would
blend into Crimson's hair. "You mean this one?" She asked, handing
it to Crimson.
Crimson nodded, again. "Yes! That one!! Thanks, Amy!" She replied,
grabbing it, and putting her hair up in a ponytail.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crimson looked over at Amy. "Uh, how do I look?" She asked.
Amy smiled. "You look amazing!!" She answered, clapping her hands
together.
Crimson looked at the ground. "Uh... Thanks."
Amy grabbed a book she had brought, and sat down in a chair. "I'm
gonna read, okay?"
Crimson nodded. "O-Okay..."
Lise heard tapping a little while later and glanced over at Troye.
He was awake, and was now sitting up, hunched over his phone. "I
thought you were sleeping." Lise said dryly. He shrugged. "I was.
And then I woke up." He said. She put her book aside and chuckled.
"Alright then." She said, running a comb through his hair again.
Sean was with a servant that was assigned to him. "I don't want to
wear a tux, I want to wear my sweater!" He said to his servant.
"But sir, You're supposed to look fancy" The servant said
Nikki listened to Oliver's speech, then followed Christopher. She
found a room that wasn't taken and walked inside, closing the door
behind her and sitting on the bed. A couple seconds later, she
heard knocking on the door. She got up and opened the door, to see
a woman in a white button-up top and a black skirt that reached the
woman's knees.
"Hello. I'm Trixie, and I'll be your servant. Let's work on making
you presentable, yes?" Trixie said. She entered the room and closed
the door. She looked through a closet and found a deep yellow
dress. It had no straps, and almost reached the ground. "Do you
want to wear this dress?" She asked, carefully turning around.
Nikki nodded and began to change into the dress.
Evelyn smiled at Oliver so much that it looked real. But her love
for Oliver wasn't real at all. She followed Christopher, and chose
a room that looked nice and that wasn't taken. She opened the door,
closed it behind her, and waited. A minute later, she heard a knock
on the door. She opened the door.
"H-Hello. My name's Gem, and I'll b-be your s-servant." Gem
stuttered. She walked in slowly and closed the door behind her.
"S-So, I guess I'll make you presentable Miss..." She looked over
at Evelyn. "Silver." Evelyn finished for her, eyes narrowed. "And
why should you try to make me presentable? I can do it myself." She
said. "B-But I-I need to, b-because I'm y-your s-servant." Gem
stuttered. Evelyn rolled her eyes. Gem looked around in the closet
and found a silver dress with sparkles lining the bottom half of
the dress. "H-Here, try this." Gem said, showing her the dress.
Evelyn rolled her eyes once again, but changed into the new dress.
