"Figured it was time to stop living in the past. Y'know, after my
dad and all that crap." Ivory said, fiddling with her belt. She
shouldn't have worn the suit, but the dress felt so... Kidd-y.
"I get that. But..." Jason shook his head. "I still don't like my
past. I want to change it. So that people don't remember Jason Todd
as Batman's little kid."
~~~
The Joker heard Altessia's bike and smiled. "Ready?" He whispered
to Natia, grinning. "This is going to be fun. I can't wait
to see their faces!"
"Jason Todd was never Batman's little kid. Dick Grayson, all the
other Robins were Batman's kids. You grew up. You faced everything
head on. I was just a wallflower then. To be honest, that's why I
liked you so much when we were training. You always pushed me,
egged me on. You were like a little cheerleader." Nikita laughed,
perching on a nearby wall.
Altessia tilts her head. "You do that. And be careful on the way
home." She shrugs and goes back to heading inside the factory. She
gestures to Zen in a 'follow' motion.
Jason laughed a little. "Don't tell Nightwing that," He teased.
"But I guess you're right. Everyone found out about my death,
that's why they were all so surprised to see me. I just wonder how
they reacted. How Bruce reacted."
He was surprised at himself. It had been years since he had called
his father by his first name.
~~~
The factory was surprisingly still. No noises, no movement. An odd,
green light bathed the place, however, and it was easy to see. But
the void of sound made it creepy nonetheless.
"Oh, you should gave heard his speech. It was pretty cute,
actually. He got all choked up halfway through the speech. There
were two ceremonies by the way. One for the other heroes and one
for the general public. I spoke too, you know." Ivory said,
blushing lightly as she giggled.
Altessia is probably scarier than anything she'll see in this
factory. Even though the silence is a sign to keep on guard. She
follows Joker's scent. Even though the smell of laughing gas is
nauseating.
