"Follow me; I'll let you crash at my place for awhile until, y'know, you find a place of your own!" Nuzleaf started down the path into Serenity Village. He entered a small building. "Come on! I'll show you the place!"

Sugar followed Nuzleaf, quite amazed at the structure of the house. "Hey, did you say there was a school here?" Sugar asked out of instinct.

"Yes! It's right over there," Nuzleaf pointed to a wooden arch leading out to a courtyard. "I just wanted to get you acquainted here; you can come here whenever you need a rest. You can head right over there if you want right now."

"Alright, sounds good. I have some errands to run, so I'll see you soon!" Nuzleaf turned and walked away into town with a wave.

A Squirtle turned the corner. She saw the Pikachu and stopped abruptly. "Hey! I've never seen you around before," She approached Sugar. "Hi!"

(her name is mischief in the games but that's a stupid name so GIDGET IT IS)

"A... Cave?" Gidget looked at Sugar funnily. "Like with Zubats and stuff? And those weird hanging rocks that fall sometimes and crash when they break?"

She shrugged and laughed a little. "That's weird, but cool! You're staying with Mr. Nuzleaf now, right? That should be interesting. I never thought he'd take someone in, though!"

"Y-Yeah," Sugar stuttered. Caves filled with Zubats and hanging rocks? I thought caves here would be normal! Sugar thought and screamed in her head. "Anyway, do you know where's the school?" she asked.

"Sure. I would like that," Sugar smiled. I hope there isn't anyone mean, she thought and started walking towards the courtyard, waiting for Gidget to catch up.

Gidget raced into the courtyard. "Guys! Come here!" She called out. Six Pokemon approached her; a Shinx, a Deerling, a Growlithe, an Oddish, a Panpour, and a Hoppip. "This is Sugar," She introduced, motioning to Sugar behind her. "Sugar, this is Mako," She motioned to the Shinx. "Summer," She motioned to the Deerling. "Char," She motioned to the Growlithe. "Winny," She motioned to the Oddish. "Pud," She motioned to the Panpour. "And Leak," She motioned to the Hoppip.

(Okay I named the Growlithe Char not only for the pokepark reference but also because I used a random pokemon generator and had good names for everyone else ;-;)
(Also, don't bother remembering the species xD)

"Right! We're here if you need anything," Summer smiled over.

"Correction: I am there if you need anything," Mako held his chin high.

"Oh please. I've seen you get lost on the way to the trashcan!" Pud laughed, nudging Mako.

"Here they go again," Gidget muttered, backing up to stand by Sugar.

"That never happened!" Mako denied.

"Oh, yes it did. You ended up on the other side of the courtyard!" Char rolled her eyes.

"We should go..." Gidget said, slowly backing out of the courtyard.

"You mostly practice moves and fighting, and learn about type advantages and stuff like that. We get to spar in the courtyard sometimes. That's what most of us look forward to," Gidget replies, yawning. "Why? Most schools are like that. Didn't you go to school near your... Cave?"

Sugar panicked once again. "I-I didn't actually. I learned how to survive on my own," she said on the top of her head. "I haven't learned how to use a move yet though," she laughed nervously.

"What about you? What moves do you know how to use?" she asked, trying to continue the conversation without being awkward.

"A few, actually!" Gidget seemed to get excited. "Tackle, Water Gun, Bubble, and Bite!" She smiled. "And don't worry; I'm sure you'll learn eventually. The teacher is super nice, so she'll teach you no problem!"
