"Is it alright if I stay for the night at your base?" Choa asks
Robin and Gem once she caught up with them and tried to walk at the
same speed as them. She was debating whether to have her knife in
her hand to protect herself in case anything happens. She didn't
want to look suspicious to Gem and Robin.
Lise quickly grabbed Troye's letter and a few other things before
running back to their base. It was getting late. She quietly crept
inside and set her backpack down on the floor. She sat down on her
bed and stared at the ceiling. She hated this place.
Oliver jumped at the sound of the book, whipping around. He
had his hand on his bat, but realized it was just a book. He
laughed softly, an embarassed blush fixing on his cheeks and ear
tips. He creeped to the book, kneeling down to grab it. He blew off
the dust, running his hand over the top. He turned at the sound of
crying, glancing up at Brian.
Troye waited for Lise to fall asleep before sitting up. He saw a
letter next to him with his name on it and picked it up. He smiled
before opening it and immediately five different papers fell out.
He chuckled before sorting throughh them.
"Can I see that book for a second?" Brian asked. The crying person
wasn't important as of right now. He just wanted to know if this
book actually had the answers he needed.
Nikki curled up into a ball on the ground and cried even more.
Robin looked at the surroundings without slowing her pace. She saw
her base, and a good few zombies in front of it. "Shoot." She
muttered, coming to a stop.
Gem stopped behind her. She saw the zombies and began to panic in
her head. She wondered what they would do now.
Oliver slowly nodded, handing Brian the book. He stood up,
brushing off his leggings, and sighed. He straightened, and looked
at Brian. He looked at the book, waiting for Brian to open it. They
could both read it, right? Or was it secret?
"Yeah.." Choa quietly agreed. She saw zombies in front of the base.
"There isn't another way in?" she asked, still looking at the
zombies. She got her knife out of the holder she has for it.
He sliced a zombie. Swords were best in these situations since loud
noises attract zombies. He heard the crying getting louder and he
kept creeping towards it. He had his mask on.
Nikki decided to calm herself down. She got up off of her base's
floor and wiped her eyes. She saw a few zombies in front of the
base, and shot most of them down with her gun. She also saw another
person trying to sneak into the base, and attempted to shoot them
down too, thinking they were a zombie.
Robin stared as most zombies fell onto the ground in pain. The ones
left ran away. She shrugged and entered her base.
Gem quickly followed Robin. She saw Nikki with her gun and smiled.
"Good job, Nikki! Thanks for your help!" She exclaimed.
Brian opened the book and he couldn't believe his eyes. Apparently,
the same thing had happened to this town years and years ago. But
how did they get rid of it? He flipped the page, trying to get
answers.
Oliver blinked. He let out a little gasp. "What?" He
murmured. He read the pages as Brian flipped through, but let out
another gasp. "Wait!" He put his finger on the page Brian was about
to flip. He pointed to the words "Cure of Zombification". He
blinked, free hand covering his lips.
Choa looked at the person Gem called Nikki. "Thank you!" she
decided to thank her as well. She put her knife back and followed
Robin. She had a smile on her face, as always, even though the
weight of her bag hurt her shoulders.
Nikki didn't pay attention to the people who thanked her. "Leave
our base!" She yelled at the person she tried to shoot (not Choa).
She fired more bullets at them.
Brian shook his head. "Those things are lies. We'll find a much
better solution on the next page." He said.
Oliver opened his mouth to speak, but closed it. He didn't
want to seem like a stupid child. He was sure Brian already
disliked him. He took away his finger, and looked at the ground. He
looked back up at the book, sighing.
Brian turned the page and saw something about having five or more
people go somewhere. He decided to read more.
More than five people must go
In order to free your town from evil.
You must journey to the farthest reaches of town
And your town will be saved.
Look around for purple grass
And a being with great power will tell the rest.
His eyes widened. "How are we going to gather so many people?" He
asked quietly.
