BASICALLY what I'm going for is we will be traversing a region, which we'll all vote on, and use randomizing tools to see what Pokémon we encounter and such. I'll be making up a story to follow along with, so we aren't just wandering about willy-nilly, and we all have the choice of being Trainers or Pokémon. Do not feel obligated to be either one. If no one chooses Pokémon, we can all be Trainers! It's totally whatever you want to do.

Trainers will be, obviously, Pokémon trainers. Any Pokémon that they capture will be controlled by them UNLESS they have a player-Pokémon on their team, who will control themselves. We will use some sort of randomizer to decide which Pokémon are encountered, so it'll be kinda like the normal game, and we will include a shiny tool so you can still have rare chances of getting a shiny for those of you it matters to, like me.

Pokémon will be Pokémon who are under the leadership of Trainer players. Trainers can decide what moves to teach their Pokémon and which they'll use in battle. Pokémon players will have to decide whether they will trust in their trainers, whether they agree or not, or disobey and do their own thing! Pokémon players will get to choose what kind of Pokémon they are from a list (to avoid people choosing things like legendaries or really, really rares).

I am fine being either one, depending on what we need more of. If you have a mega preference to what you want to be, please post it so i can add what you are to the first post.

Pokémon and Trainers will have to work together to decide who gets to be with who (ex. if you are a Pokémon and want to be a Trainer's starter, you and that Trainer will have to discuss this)

Trainers can choose to trade Pokémon, and Pokémon MUST go to their new Trainer, BUT if they really hate the decision, they can become disobedient.

I want this to be as much like being in the Pokémon world as we can make it without taking away the fun of RP! We will use a combination of things from the games and anime to make it seem like it is possible for the Pokémon universe.

Also, please vote for a region! I vote Johto or Sinnoh. You can vote for two, but no more than that. We can all vote on any winners if there is a tie.

I am going to work soon, so if you guys want to discuss some things and try to get sorted, it'd be great. When i get home, i will share any story ideas i came up with at work and we can all vote on those and expand on them

- Do you guys think that the Pokémon Trainers can choose from in the lab should be limited to traditional starters, should we have it be a random list, or should we just let them pick their starters?

- Likewise, how should we have Pokémon pick which Pokémon they are?

- I was thinking, should we allow everyone to pick one Pokémon they actually have on this site to be on their team? (For example, I HAVE a shiny Charizard named Charcoal on this site, so I could have him on my team) And how should we handle Legendaries? Should we just exclude them?

If you would prefer to have random stuff, I understand. I just wanna know what you are all thinking.

As for region, I was thinking that if we did Johto, we could also have Kanto. The plot I was thinking about is that Mewtwo has been supposedly spotted attacking people on roads. A breakaway sector of Team Rocket is rumored to be behind the attacks. We are a group of Trainers (or a Trainer and their Pokémon if only one of us picks Trainer) going to investigate the incident.

I like the idea of having shinny's being a limited chance.

A random list of pokemon would be interesting. It should include starters though.

I think there needs to be a list of pokemon that can be picked. No legends, no megas, something that isn't super rare. I am not against the idea of starting in the middle of a evolutionary line but I like the idea of starting with the first in the line and growing with the trainer.

I'm not against that idea with Charcoal. I think it could be really cool! so long as the pokemon isn't over powered or super rare.

I love the idea of having Johto and Kanto so that Mewtwo is in the plot. Perhaps it's just a nostalgia thing but I think Mewtwo makes a cool villain. Though, he's a misguided, conflicted and hurt character. He needs more hugs in his life. It also ties in with the idea of the pokemon/trainer relationship. His thing is being mistreated by scientists. He'd want to free the pokemon caught by trainers. Those Pokémon players could be tasked with trying to sway him one way or the other.

1, I'd vote for traditional starters. It'd make more sense to have like five or six of the starters on hand instead of all pokes known in the region in storage, if that makes sense? (Then again, about that PC storage...)

2, Randomizer can be a good friend or a deadly enemy. But definitely limit the shiny chance.

3, Legendaries I'm iffy on, unless there's a fairly good reason why a new Trainer suddenly has the respect of a legend...y'know? But that could be cute, having a poke OS also being in the team

Not sure what this means? Is that a typo, bc I feel like it should say, How should we have people pick which Pokemon they are? So I'm not entirely sure. <w>

I like that idea. I'd totally be my precious Cyndaquil (Cynda, bc The Cutest is not a name, hah).

I like Kanto and Hoenn. I know those well enough, I think, lol.

No legends. At least that any of the trainers can own. I'm perfectly okay with Mewtwo/any other legendary being in the story. Just not catchable.

Yeah it'd include starters, since I don't think it's totally crazy that anyone could find them in the wild.

I agree with no legends, though for inside a battle I am not against someone mega evolving during a big battle as long as the Pokémon has been bonding with their trainer up to that point (so if you're a Charizard who has been doing everything in your power to spite your Trainer, no mega evolution for you, but if you've been loyal and listened up until then, you can. does that make sense?)

I'm biased because HGSS are my favorite games :') We can have other Kanto Legendaries appear during the story if you guys want

I can see that. There are always chances to capture other Pokémon as we go.

I've learned that from watching youtubers do randomized nuzlockes lol

I think if someone manages to get a Masterball they can catch one, but I also think it'll take a while before it obeys at all.

I forgot, can you guys let me know if you'll be a Trainer or a Pokémon. :) Also, what do you think of including non-traditional starters, like Pikachu and Eevee?

That's fine! Hmm, I think they should pick either their in-game Pokemon (In-game as in PH, not other games), or with a randomizer that doesn't include legends or unfair Pokemon of any sort.

I'll go with anything, Pokemon or trainer. c: Whatever we need is fine with me! Just give me a heads up with whatever you need more.
