Light used flamethrower on one piece of the ice, while Scout used Super fang on the other bit of the ice. Light's piece of ice melted, while Scout mashed his.

(I'm loving that Victor's dreams might fulfill in Unova (the most unnotable gen for me....))

Victor tries to give special attention to Litwick for training. He commands Infernape to let all his anger out on Litwick.

Lure feels frightened to face Victor's Sinnoh Ace alone, and whimpers as Victor leaves an angry Infernape with Lure. Infernape activates Blaze ability, and Litwick lets out a scream of horror.

"Don't be afraid." Victor said calmly, not afraid of what Infernape could do to Lure.

Infernape goes into a frenzy and uses Blaze Kick. Litwick gets hit, but does not get hurt! Litwick absorbs the love with flash fire, and uses dark pulse, dealing damage to Infernape.

Lure's self confidence increases, as he observes that he is immune to fire and fighting moves. Victor's strategy to level lure begins to take shape.

Infernape becomes frustrated, and uses high jump kick. But Litwick was immune to it, and Infernape crashes down, taking damage.

Amber's Pokemon went off to burn/super fang more pieces of ice. It was harder, as the other block of ice wasn't the strongest ice.

Infernape tries another high jump kick, and misses once more, making him faint. Litwick begins to cheer, and gains a lot of experience, since Infernape was in level late 50s.

Victor recalls Infernape, and looks at his Pokeball. "Sorry, but this was necessary to increase Lure's confidence." He says, as he heals Infernape.

Litwick now uses heatwave on a mound of ice, which melts immediately.

"I guess you should boost Litwick's confidence first..." Victor says, as the Infernape-strategy seemed to work on Lure.

"How about you two battle eachother for experience? Does that sound like a good idea?" Amber asked.
Her Pokemon didn't need to nod, as she knew they both thought it was a good idea. Amber took out some revives and full restores. "Make sure to use these after each battle, okay? I'm going to go check on Victor." She walks away, and goes to Victor. "Hey."

After all the time Victor had spent on appreciating Litwick, suddenly, some sounds come from behind a mound of Ice.

Victor goes there, and finds that Litwick has picked a fight with a Chandelure!
"Stop Lure!" Victor says, trying to stop Lure to pick a fight with his final form.

"I don't know.." Victor says as he tries to drag Lure away.
"Lit!! (No!)" Lure says, as he wants to fight chandelure for some reason. Victor dosen't make an attempt to stop Lure since he was now threatening to steal Victor's life force.

"Chand- lure lure chandelure. (I need to test your power.)” Chandelure says grimly.
Lure nods without objection. He seemed to know this Chandelure.
Chandelure uses Dark Pulse, while Litwick also uses dark pulse. The moves collide, dealing super effective damage to both the Pokemon.

Scout was about to attack Light when she saw the chandelure. She went away to go to the chandelure, she was intrigued, making Scout hit the ground.

Litwick then suddenly stands still. Chandelure then gets angry at Lure.
"Chand- lureChand Chandelure lure handelure chand cha!! (Why are you not moving my son? You're not worthy, so face my wrath!)" Chandelure cries, and prepares a strong dark pulse.

Before Litwick was hit, he glows with a purple light. After he finishes glowing, he is hit with the move.

The place gets surrounded with smoke. The dad Chandelure suddenly glows in purple, and is forced to faint.

Victor scans Litwick's move with his Pokedex, and Pokedex gives him the description of 'Destiny Bond'.

(I thought Litwick couldn't learn destiny bond? Then again, I had Amber's patrat use super fang while being a level that I'm pretty sure can't even learn super fang XD)

(Okay... It cannot. but I would've liked if it was a special Gimmick for Lure, like how Bulbasaur learnt dig to save it from crisis. Only this time Lure had to save himself from his father' wrath XD...)

"But Litwick cannot normally learn Destiny Bond.." Victor manages to say as he picks up Litwick and heals him. Victor heals Chandelure too. Litwick gains some more experience.

"Chand-Chand lure Chand! (You've passed the test!)" Chandelure says. "Chand lure Chand Chand (You can now live with a trainer.)" He says,

"Lit (Dad...)" Litwick says.

(Don't forget that bulbasaur in the anime was able to use whirlwind too XD)

Lure hugs Victor and tries to explain him that Chandelure is his father.
Chandelure tries to explain the Pokemon around that his son, shiny Litwick would be let out in the world with a trainer only if the trainer managed to raise Litwick so that he could defeat Chandelure, and then come back to protect the ghost tribe later. And Lure had passed the test with Victor.

Volt tries to explain the story though pantomime to Victor and Amber. Victor understands Volt's mimicry for most part.

Lure then faces a sudden surge of emotions- of growing up, feeling proud, responsible, free and playful at the same time.

This surge causes Litwick to envelope in a strange, white light.
