I agree with the idea of limited characters in comments, but your own feed is a little pointless.
Along with this should be a "see more" button, meaning users don't have to see paragraph after paragraph of something they're not interested in.

I get your point but infinite is a strong, strong word.
As in if I see this getting implemented, bee movie script is going to be everywhere.

I feel the character limit is feeds isn't that bad to begin with as it's simply a notification and not a novel.

I think if you can't fit everything into one feed, you should shorten your ideas a bit or just continue your feed in the comments. uwu

Okay, yeah maybe infinite was a bit far fetched, but the idea of having to shorten my ideas simply frustrates me.
That's why I made this thread, and I realised people would take it to the extreme so I also made the suggestion of a "see more" button maybe having it come up after about 5 lines.

Like I said before, I do get your point, but I'll be repeating myself; infite is a strong word. Infinite is basically infinite, there is no end to it. You can't subtract 2 from infinite, you can't add 260 to infinite , etc, because infinite is an endless concept. There is simply no end to infinite, it's not a number, it's just endless. Even with a 'see more' button, if an inconsiderate user were to, I don't know, post the whole bee movie script, the page would stretches a whole lot once someone press the see more button. And hey, I'm a person that doesn't like needing to press things to read (I usually don't bother with spoilers) so I'd like a way to disable 'See More', then bam, loophole, bee movie script.

At the least, limit increase for a feed should be increased slightly since it already suffice— if users want to write a journal, there's the diary section. Feeds are simply feeds, to connect with others and to say things you want, they aren't movie or videogame reviews, you do that in a diary.

I get your point, I do, but in this case - PH has a forum just for your own personal writing

You can make a diary for all of your long thoughts that are too big to make a feed about, and just link the forum post in a feed if you want your friends to see it.

PH is one of the sites where you can do this - where you can have a forum thread all to yourself, for all of your own personal writing.

Why not take advantage of that, instead of the feeds, which are short and to the point (like tweets tbh)

If your friends want to see your longer things, they can subscribe to your diary :3

As has been pointed out a few times, feeds are supposed to be concise; there are other options for longer pieces of text, so with majority against, other options available ( and at the OP's request as well), I'll be moving this.
