I thought about custom sprites?
Because if someone has a pokesona, they want it on here.
Basically you upload a sprite to that pokemon and that pokemon (Only that one) has that sprite.
Kinda like skins (Flight Rising), and painties (Furvilla), you know? And oh yeah, there's a fee and the pokemon can't participate in Pokémon Beauty Contests after that.
But here's other thing. The pokemon must look something like the original sprite. Which means you can do hybrids, but the pokemon must be a little recognizable. Also, if the pokemon evolves/mega evolves, it will stay the same. And the sprites can't be passed down by breeding. And the pokemon can't be released, auctioned, traded, or gave away at all.

No support. First of all, it is basically an event. Second, if every user submits one, it will take a long time to code it in.

I like the ideia and all but that would take way too much time.

Think of it, theres' over 600 (700 ?) pokemon to chose from, now we need to have a team specialized with dealing with incoming sprites, make sure we're well versed in making sure characters are not plagiarized / copyrighted to avoid any lawsuits that /could/ happen in the future, reject sprites that don't meet up to our standards, then fight with those people telling them why it wasn't accepted, or having something accepted, and then getting into trouble with some companies because they found out that a character they trademarked was uploaded by a user who didn't think it was a problem, but /that/ company has a problem with it.

So yeah, it /is/ a big deal.

I love the idea of customizing, but for a site like PH? it's just not needed.
