Umm.. to be honest, I never looked at the official one. I used the dex entry in Moon to draw it :'D

i believe it's fine to reference the art as long as the say where they found it.
although, they didn't directly trace it, only used the same pose.

Before they became friends, they were
part of two separate roaming pokemon groups.
Ghel, the Alolain Umbreon, suggested they meet whenever they had come across each other at the opposite sides of a river bank while both of their groups had been setting up camp one fall afternoon. Elenik, the Alolain Mareep, had shyly nodded and came back eagerly once the sun had started to set.
They talked of their dreams, what their quests in life were (which turned out to be very similar), and even their tragic/sad past.
It was easy to see they liked each other, even though they were still just strangers, but, of course, Ghel was clueless to the feeling and mistook it for envy for the other Alolain pokemon, leaving Elenik to shy to voice his feeling for the attractive and very flirty Umbreon.
After a few more of these secret meetings Ghel suggested they run away to peruse their life goals. Elenik agreed after only a few begged words and they began their journey, which would lead them to meet a lot of new pokemon, trainers, even some mysterious and unknown pokemon.

Instead of Dotpict, try using Pixly owo
It has loads of features for an app on a phone...
