There should be a PSD version of it so I can at least color it. This overlay thing is way too confusing...

There's no difference with there being a PSD version and a png version though? It's grayscale colouring, and there is a clear tutorial here. It's the same process for whatever the file format is.
And there's nothing hard with the overlay thing. Just go to your layer effects and click "overlay". Simple.
If you don't have any good art programs, you could ask someone to make it for you, though you would need to normally pay them.

Where's the layer effects on FireAlpaca? I haven't used it as much, but to only color Aywas pet PSDs to make customs, but now this is different... o.o

Every time I try to shade it in, it makes everything disappear, even the eyes.

I did that, it doesn't do anything. I can't even shade it in without its eyes disappearing and stuff.


I'd rather layer paint it than completely do grayscales...

create a new later on top of the greyscale drawing, then select Overlay for the new layer and colour on that layer :0
or have you tried that and it failed too? idk

add more layers on top if necessary (if you feel like adding accessories or something)

tbh, i find that tutorial slightly difficult to understand at first, it took a couple of rereads to fully grasp the layer concept for me xD

What's difficult about it though? o: It's rather self explanatory and basic if you ask me haha. I don't think there can be a guide any clearer than that

i guess my problem boils down to me not being used to different layer modes other than normal (or any other options in general other than the normal layer mode) pfft
never knew how the clipping option worked until now :'0

My fursona, who is a Dutch Angel Dragon, has an earring on his right ear, so I may add that to the template. Dunno if I should add the thunderbolt that's on his stomach.

But anyway I think I got it now... lol

Oh! I'd love steel! One of my villagers is a warrior, and I need A LOT of steel to repair his shields haha :'D Like 40 steel per repair
