Victor opened the 'Do Not Enter' door. "Come on," He said to Tiger and lion, and entered inside. The walls were curved and formed a semi-circle. The walls were designed with symbols of different Pokemon types. Suddenly, three trainers with Mega Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Blastoise confronted Victor.

Tiger and Lion entered as well. Tiger then managed to grab his pass in caution, he also held onto Dusk's pokeball.

Flare growled at the mega Charizard slightly, but Victor stopped him. He showed his pass, and the mega Pokemon made way. They were loyal to their trainers, but fatigue and sadness could be seen in their eyes.

Tiger felt uncomfortable as he saw the expressions in the mega Pokemons faces. He then looked at Cyndaquil slightly who was perched on his shoulder. The two then followed Victor with Lion following closely.

Flare felt sad as he looked at the mega Charizard, and walked with Victor silently. Victor and Flare wen too the end of the portal, and suddenly, the sunlight from the Crest region blinded them...

Tiger flinched st the light of the region. He then looked st Cyndaquil who was looking around slightly. "Where are we, the fire Pokémon whispered to Tiger softly.

Victor entered the region along with flare. "We're here... And where's the new trainer to guide us out of the forest?" He asked. A Fennekin suddenly looked at Flare.

The Fennekin suddenly went to a female trainer, and she turned around. "You must be Victor, if I'm not wrong..." She asked, and without waiting for an answer, continued. "I'm Laura, the trainer who's supposed to escort you to Highland city. This is Verran forest. And this is magic, my friend." She said, pointing to her Fennekin.

Victor nodded slightly.

Tiger and Lion looked over to Laura slightly. Cyndaquil hid behind Tiger's shoulder from the timid nature he had.

"We need to fly over the forest." Laura said, and climbed over the Talonflame which was lent to her by Aria. Victor got on to Flare, and the Charizard and Talonflame took off.

Victor looked down from flare as he looked around the region. It had lakes, rivers, mountains and forests, enough to host almost all Pokemon from the other regions. He saw that the bird Pokemon from different regions formed colonies and lived together.

Victor watched as they passed the Verran forest. They were now near some mountains. "These are the Rai mountains, named after the thunderstorms they face. The Highland city is located on the foot of the range." Laura said, as she flew closer to her home town. "The Team Crest base is here too. And the trainers start their journey from here. Starter Pokemon from all the regions are available here." She continued.

"How was the region named 'Crest?" Victor asked.

"Well, I don't know much of it, but the region narrows towards the Verran forest, and goes northwards, forming a crest. That crest gave the region its name." Laura replied.

Laura landed with Victor near a small house in the highland city. The first stages of all sorts of starter Pokemon were roaming about.
"My mother distributes children round here their starter Pokemon. She is known as Professor Grace round here." Laura said, as she went to her mother, who was handling a fight between a cyndaquil, and tepig.

Tiger nodded and looked st his Cyndaquil who jumped to the ground and tried to help the professor calm down the other Cyndaquil. Tiger then smiled slightly at his Pokemon.

"Thanks you, its nice to have some help some times." Grace said good-naturedly as the cyndaquil calmed down, and the tepig went to play with his friends.
Grace looked at Flare. "That's your starter Pokemon, isn't it?" She asked Victor, who nodded. "How do you know?" He asked.
"Oak told me that a trainer went to save a charmander who went lost for days, and took it as his starter Pokemon. The charmander had a flame mark on his chest. And this Charizard as one too." Grace replied.

Cyndaquil nodded to the professor and went back to Tiger. The young fire type then jumped back onto Tiger's shoulder. "What started them fighting" the boy asked the professor kindly, he was in training to be Elm's successor so he wanted to see how he could help her.
