Character Name: Aros Araeus
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Bird Faunus (Seychelles kestrel)
Weapon: Multi-Action Dust Gun/Sniper Rifle + Grappling Hook
Semblance: Hallucinations - The ability to modify the sensory information in a person's head while their brain is processing it. The user is limited to only manipulating one mind, and at most two, at a time. Once the opponent realizes their mind is being manipulated, the hallucinations begin to dispel.
Aura Colour: Red-Brown
Physical Description: Aros is a short guy, standing at a mere 5'2''. He's also to the skinny side, which reasonably gives people the impression he's a helpless fragile little brat who breaks if you dare to touch him.
He has tan skin and amber eyes with a hue very close to red around the pupil. Aros' hair is mostly grey with some blue mixed in, ridiculously spiky, and shaved on the right side. On his right ear, Aros has a round black and yellow earring.
For clothes, he wears a dark green jacket with red details and a light reddish brown T-shirt underneath it. Furthermore, he has dark blue jeans with a red belt and black boots with red laces. The look is completed with black fingerless gloves.
The weapon is strapped to his right thigh.
Aros' Faunus trait is a pair of quite small wings. the underside of them is a light brown color with patches of darker brown while the topside is a considerably darker shade with a faint hue of red mixed in. He can't fly with them and they're not really any significant use slowing him down if he happens to be falling down from the sky either. They're more or less useless.

Personality: Aros comes off as a loud obnoxious over-confident brat who doesn't know when to quit. Which is pretty much true. For his size, he surely does make his presence known with witty and/or stupid commentary. He doesn't know how to not get involved in things that have nothing to do with him, which should say something about happenings that actually do have something to do with him.
He appears to have a big ego and tends to overestimate himself and never fails to brag, though this is not the whole truth. He actually doesn't have much of an ego and the 'bravado' is mostly a cloak he wraps himself in.
Taking the above into consideration, it's no wonder Aros is usually described as childish. However, he's actually 'the mom friend' and a huge mother hen (pun intended). He apparently has taken it as his duty to check everyone has eaten and rested and have done their homework. Aros is also insanely overprotective, he'll pick a fistfight with someone twice his size if they were being a douche to his buddy, even if said buddy didn't need his help. Which would be hilarious if such scenarios didn't usually end up with Aros getting the living daylights kicked out of him. However, getting constantly beat up does have its benefits, believe it or not. Aros has developed quite the high pain tolerance and endurance for someone his size, along with knowing 'how to take a beating'. Losing doesn't really phase him either. He's a good sport and doesn't mind laughing at himself.
Nothing seems to shake his bright optimism and Aros appears to be unable to be sad or angry. Which is ridiculously false, he just absolutely refuses to let others see him when he's down and he has mastered the happy-jokey-mask. If something has upset or angered him, Aros will wait until he can slip away unnoticed and sneaks off somewhere to cry or punch things, usually both.
Background Information: Aros' father is a bird Faunus like him, while his mother's a human. He also has three younger siblings aged 14, 12, and 8. The 12-year-old is the only one of the three kids who's also a Faunus, the other two share his mother's human heritage.
Since being a Faunus, and an unusual kind as well, Aros' childhood in Mistral unsurprisingly wasn't all fun and games. Everyone obviously didn't like him or his family and he got bullied. However, Aros mostly focused on his younger Faunus-sister's bullies and picked fights with whoever happened to even look at his siblings wrong. And probably lost at least 90% of those fights. He really embraced the 'big brother' thing and took it to extremes, which is also where his reluctance to show his negative feelings comes from. Big bros aren't supposed to cry or get upset.
Even though he doesn't mind getting his butt whooped regularly, Aros quickly came to the conclusion that he doesn't wan't that to keep happening. After all, big bros aren't supposed to be weak either.
So Aros decided to become a hunstman and upon starting at a combat school, he didn't lose as many fights anymore. Though due to his size and the fact that 1 on 1 combat happens to be his weak point, nothing changed too significantly. And of course Aros just had to get a big gun that's somewhat inconvenient for someone as tiny as him.
After discovering his semblance, Aros actually started using it on his siblings. Understandably, making your siblings hallucinate things sounds like the work of a pretty twisted person but Aros had rather good intentions. Making pretty flowers on the side of the road or a cute bunny hopping on the nearby field appear to cheer your younger siblings up doesn't sound that bad, does it?
Due to growing up in Mistral, Aros was planning on enrolling in Haven Academy. However, he just had to pick another fight that somehow ended up with him saying quite the regretful things to the headmaster of Haven after they had been in the wrong place at the wrong time and had tried to intervene. That kind of blew his chances.
So in the end, he resulted in applying to Beacon in Vale and only barely made it in. However, he was really hesitant to leave Mistral and saying that he's worried about his siblings would be an enormous understatement. Which is why he can often be found in the Beacon Tower using the CCTS whenever there's free time.

I ended up going with an A name after all. And I spent way too long drawing things and this turned out longer than it was supposed to. Oh well, that just means I'm just as invested in this character and I won't at least be obviously favoring the hood-dork over this chicken-dork. xD
Let me know if anything needs changing. :b
And about team YLLW, I don't see the need to mention them, we don't have to actually get rid of them in the RP, we can just have them as background characters that could possibly be used in the future. Just no one is going to be RP'ing them c:
First of all, sorry for taking so long to post. (It says my last post in this thread was 16 days ago and I'm having a hard time believing it. It can't have been that long. 8I) Anyway, I've been kinda busy with some irl stuff and lately I've been having a hard time writing anything I don't hate for some reason. Though despite that, I have gotten some stuff written and I'm going to be posting soon even if it kills me.
There's just one thing I gotta know: Who's Team AASH's leader? I kinda need to know that to throw Avani out and bring Aros in. :,]
Hey, everyone :)
I've loved this RP since it began, but recently, I have had less and less time available to roleplay.
I've become less active on the site itself, and as you can see, I don't have my
As much as it hurts me to say it, I won't have time to continue this RP, and I'm so sorry for having to close it :(
