Just a simple idea.

Say someone had x amount of shelder, but couldn't find tympole, but someone else had the opposite (having x tympole but can't find shelder), or some other sort of fishing related issue. Maybe have it be an item that Leah gives you for 5 magikarp, 2 shelder, 2 tympole and a marril? I just think maybe.
I really doubt that this will gain much support.

Maybe unlocking the trade after getting the super rod?

It maybe sounds like an awesome idea, but I think it would simplify getting better rods greatly. It'd be too easy to get it then. Sorry, no support.

I'll have to say no support for this. I see the Emera Beach being an independent/solo feature - doing it without the help of others.
Besides, this would make things easier, like getting the Shiny Rod, and other valuables
